Land vs Sea is a fun, easy to teach game. I really like it because it's as simple or as complicated as you'd like, as you can add extra scoring metrics to increase difficulty. It's one of the few board games I can convince my Dad to play with me, so I've got a soft spot for it. I pre-ordered the Mass Effect game after watching a playthrough. Looks like it'll be fun, not groundbreaking, but I also am currently burned out on big camping games, so it's probably exactly the right level of complexity for actually hitting the table.
