Does this model scan the room like the Neato and then go up and down or is it still random and all over the place like the previous Roombas?

Sadly, this model works like previous Roombas with a random number generator and timer for navigation.

VacBin That's the big disadvantage to the iRobot over the Neato. I watched your Neato demo a couple of years ago and decided to buy one. I love it. I use it all of the time and would buy another one. I went through 2 Roombas and would not buy one again unless they became much smarter.

Oh the other issue I recall having with the Roomba was cat fur would get tangled into both ends of the brush where it attached to the plastic gears. I've never had that happen once with the Neato. The Neato is much better at dealing with cat hair and it does not run as long but cleans the house well.
