I love the story behind Daughtry being on the mask singer. In an interview, he talked about how doing it was about confronting his fears. He’s the Rottweiler because he’s afraid of dogs and he picked songs that he was afraid to sing live for one reason or another. I think that’s super cool.

Me, a Swede like him who grew up with that show too: "Are you kidding me??" I'm guessing it's because I'm younger than him but still, it was like one of the biggest Disney shows. I think it was the longest Disney Channel show at the time (before this they didn't let shows get longer than 65 episodes), it had the most viewed episode on the channel, the first to get four seasons and led to two spinoffs, with one of them still being on the air. How does one not know about it at all???

I don’t know a lot of celebrities so I was also just sitting there like “the song choice and the pronounciation on that ‘a’ indicates an accent from this region, and the depth of the tone combined with the build of the man implies that etc etc” When you know what to look for it isn’t really hard, there’s a lot of compounding traits that don’t tell you for sure but they can give you clues as to what’s more likely, or at least let you narrow down where they’re from. but that first girl threw me for a loop too! He was absolutely right with the accent call, it really sounded like that, I was really surprised when the mask came off.

Season 1, I am 95% sure the camera flashes on several bit part and character actors, including the guy who played Bob in The Walking Dead (or his doppelganger, anyway). Regarding crying while on TV, the answer is often stress, or just being really emotional due to hormones or something that is going on in your life. People have really strong ties to songs they love, and good performances are supposed to hit you in the feels.

Honestly... It has to be lipsynced :/ I run a recording studio in France and I do not know any kind of mic that can do that... With those masks, sounds are muffled and despite compression, it could never be that good if it wasn't prerecorded in the studio :(

Like in my country's version, we had our most famous weather forecaster as contestant. He couldn't sing at all. But his voice is very familiar to many ppl bc almost everyone watches weather forecast.
