Anyone who knows Roope, knows that he always liked the sauce. Unfortunately, after he got kicked out of COB, he seems to have been completely taken over by alcoholism. I've heard from some mutual aquintances that he basically spends most of his time getting wasted in his home neighbourhood of Kannelmäki, Helsinki on a daily basis. He turned fifty last summer and I saw some recent photos of him and he looked older, grayer and bloated. I've also come across him a couple of times in Tuska 2017, Tuska 2018 and Tuska 2019 and the dude is really not in a good place... :(

Yeah, he needs help and we all know he doesnt want help. Hes one of the best guitar players i know, and he should start teaching younger guys, like guitar lessons by Roope Latvala etc, and make some money. Hate to see all that skill and knowledge going to waste..

If u find it hard to translate like lyrically, just do it like word by word, I'm sure I'll get the picture. My mom is originally from Finland and I used to live in Helsinki for a short period of time but never learned the language. I was born & raised in Maracaibo, now living in Phoenix AZ. I met Alexi just by chance in front of Nosturi, I was 18 back then and he was so nice to me, even gave me a signed T-shirt (I didn't ask for it). He was joking & laughing with me until he was forced to leave, but he even apologized that he was in a hurry, what a real gentleman he was! Hope you are still there to reply to this message. You can find an interview that came out not too long ago. He isn't in great shape, honestly. Sounds like he isn't playing anymore and is drinking a lot. He was drunk during the interview, even. He took getting kicked out of the band pretty hard, too.
