Roosevelt Campobello International Park preserves the house and surrounding landscape of the summer retreat of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his family. It is located on the southern tip of Campobello Island in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. My daughter and I visited this unique National Park in July of 2019.

the "fun tour" // "what's your scale /" ughhhh.. //we love seeing Maine with you... excellent you got to see the High Tides/ i grew up vacationing in Parrsoboro, NS where The Highest tides are. Have not been to this Park, but lots of very similar areas a lot of fun to see it again... really neat the Park straddles the border. also great to see the town and surroundings, and the lupines !!

Very happy to hear how the Maine vids are bringing back fine memories for you. It really is a beautiful state and those tidal changes are unreal - our tidal fluctuations are only a fraction of that here in NJ.

I remember climbing down the ladders and crossing the bridge out to the lighthouse. There was a older lady (~83 years old) that did this every day to host tours of the house. She offered my wife and I coffee if we sat on the porch and talked for a spell. Lovely place. Too bad you didn’t have tea with Eleanor, the cookies were delicious!

Pretty awesome place there! I loved all the History. Man President Roosevelt really got around later on when he got polio he moved down to the "little white house" in Warm Springs Georgia. It's not too far from where I live, I've been meaning to go there and do a video for awhile now.

Neat part of the man's life I never was aware of. Yeah, a video of that place would be cool. Same as you - become more fascinated with history as I get older. Have a great week!

I absolutely LOVE this video !!! Back in 2014 my oldest son and I took a trip to Maine, made it all the way up to Acadia National Park and then Lubec, Maine to see the West Quoddy Lighthouse. I wanted so badly to cross the border into Canada to visit Roosevelt Campobello Int. Park but I didn’t have a passport and was too worried if they let me cross over, I wouldn’t be able to get back into the US ! So , this video was really special to me and I’m in the process of finally getting my passport so that I can go to Campobello, too ! Thanks for sharing your fun adventure ! Love the lighthouse, too !

I remember the pleasant smell of that place. And if I recall correctly, the hydrangeas too! We then went to watch the birds drop the crustaceans from various heights in order to crack the shells. Thank you for sharing and letting me reminisce of years gone by with my son.

Surprised that you need a passport to get into Canada for the day but good to see you made it without one. Pretty informative lady on the tour and a nice place to have a look around. After 45 years of listening to heavy metal my ears are not the best, so no way would I be standing next to them giant foghorns in case they went off! Pizza looked good to me too, even though it was Canadian! Cheers Alan

Do you know that Campobello is 1 of 4 parks shared with Canada? Yesiree, boys and girls, there are, besides here, Waterton Lakes across from Glacier, Kluane (clue-AH-knee) in Yukon, across from Alaska's Wrangell-St. Elias, and the International Peace Garden--part in ND and part in Manitoba--not all national parks, but all split across our border--the longest unfortified one in the world, at 5525 miles/8891km.

..... never knew there was an International Park .... very cool 😎 The Roosevelt site was interesting ... neat that it is a joint venture between Canada and the States 👍 We have Grover Cleveland's summer home, River Lea, here on Grand Island .... more modest of a dwelling.... located on the shores of the beautiful Niagara River. 🇺🇸 Safe travels!

Crazy all the border jumping you had to do in this video lol. Extremely beautiful area and I'm glad you were able to get in the country without passports. FDR had a great vacation home!! That lighthouse was super cool also but the high tide thing and getting stuck there for 8 hour is a little nerve wracking. Thanks for showing us another adventure my friend!

Hello ! Great video again , didn’t know about this Roosevelt summer house . Knew about the the high tides ...we went many years ago in the bay of Fundy at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park in New Brunswick They call it Flowers Pot because at low tide the rocks whit the trees and bushes on top looks like it . You seem to have fun whit your girl that’s gold ! ATB and have a nice weekend Just saying...I have a video out and it’s about approaching Hanksville Utah working on the next one which will be "Goblin Valley State Park " Hélène et Serge💑 👍😉🏔🎥
