My youth all the way through adulthood(53 now) are filled with memories of Rooster Tails catching just about anything that swims. I’ve had big bream hit them so hard that the blade would spin on it anymore until you did repair work on it. The chartreuse colors are deadly.

the whole creek has a rock bottom from where it starts from a spring on one end of town then flows into a river in the next town. There are lots of places where it has ridges and edges

just got back into fishing after 40yrs. strangely back then, I never used Rooster Tails...now, that is all i seem to love to fish with. My buddy has a pond...I can catch Bass/Crappie/Bluegill on Rooster tail in his pond. i just cannot figure out at times wha is the right size to use at times.

Ah yes the legendary rooster tail! My favorite all time small mouth bass and trout slayer lure' I've caught so many trout and smallies with rooster tails in the red n black fire tiger and the classic white color. I've been using rooster tails since I was knee high to a grasshopper lol and great video cfa. Keep reeling them fish in 🤘🤘🤘🎣🎣🎣

Nice video, I live in Miami Florida and peacock bass and all exotic fish here are caught with rooster tails. Rooster tails are the only lures I use, they are my personal favorite.

Man every time you catch a shiner I'm just always surprised how large they are. I didn't think they would grow that large. My grandma use to use them for bait and I just figured they pretty much didn't get much bigger. I've definitely been taking down notes on the lures you use quite often, same with the poles you've use too. I think that would be a good starting point. What would be a good reel to get into for newbs? I appreciate the content. 👍

One easy sure way to tell a spotted bass is feel it’s tongue. If it feels like sand paper, it’s a spot.

Wow! I didn't know that rooster tails help catch that many fish! Going to try them this season. Do you have any advice on what type of line to use, what knot to use and do I tie it directly to the line or do I have to use something else?

Try a Mepps Beetlespin with Crappie baits...... All of my private permissions and public spots, I use Beetlespin....never fails to get all panfish and small Bass. They are basically weedless and I don't hang up like I do with Roosters. Let us know how it works for you.

the best place is probably the hiwasse river in reliance, tn. the Ocoee river also has trout, and Gee creek

Quick tip for you if you go trout fishing use flurocarbon line cause trout have keen eyesight and wont hit anything unless you use flurocarbon line ' some say it's ok to use regular monofilament but I caught more trout on flurocarbon line and them rooster tails will get em'
