I never want to see RT go public. That would ruin everything that we love about you guys and gals. RT is about the creators and fans. We're a niche audience. I would hate seeing what Burnie, Gus, Geoff, and everyone else built over the years being trashed by shareholders who don't care about the quality of the content, but just the profit margins.

When has it ever been a good time for a broke gamer, but since progress has been made. If you go to ebay and buy smartly you can get a dell prebuilt, gpu, and a 60GB SSD for $10ish for the OS and a game or two for ~100that can do 720P to 1080p some time back that would be a dream at best. Or if you just want to play old console games you can get a raspberry pi for $35 and emulate some games up to a ps2 level. Soon enough the 8k@30 for some games the 2080 TI can do will be that cheapo ~$100 setup. But for games you can emulate, buy a key, rent, or wait for a sale. by the way at least in the U.S.A emulation is not illegal but how you get the software maybe. Sorry for such a long comment. I just want it to be known that it's not all bad. There is so much that we as poor gamers can do!

No. The whole point of you all selling out to full screen was to get more money to do more projects and I remember the entire community being terrified of changes. Luckily they’ve been pretty cool about keep RT the same (but that can always change). But going public would absolutely change that. If you go public is it essentially the same as selling the company? If so are there any laws stopping you from just taking the buyout, having the entire cast quit and then starting up a new private company continuing RT's old business as usual? I can't imagine a law could penalize you for quitting your job, and since RT is an internet based company, consumers for content would simply move with the new IP. It would be the same as if RT was rebranding, no? Its shady, but I doubt the internet would care after a month. (I've never studied business, this is purely conjecture)

Please do not take Rooster Teeth public. As many have said already, it would take much of the creativity out of the company. Right now you are able to do weird one off shows, experimental stuff because it's something that could make money, but is also a creative outlet.
