Every time I hear this song, I picture a bar fight where someone is getting a pint of beer poured on thier head, and the person covered in beer starts chasing the other person who poured it. Everyone else is chanting FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT while the pianist is busy hammering away at the keys😂😂😂😂

I always imagined Keystone cops running around trying to arrest Charlie Chaplin.

The fact that the wonderful Lang Lang accepted Billy Joel's invitation says a lot about both. Fantastic musicians, with mutual respect, admiration and the ability to make people happy. BTW: as a pianist I already played this piece, but never 100% without any mistake. It's very challenging obviously.

I completely agree with everything about your comment. This is a very challenging piece for me to play on piano as well. Some of the runs with the right hand trip me up, and the little Am bridge part still needs some work. I can get thru the song (which is a good sign), but there will be some goof ups. lol

One of the few virtuosos of pop music. They’re two different talents, that rarely align. Technical facility, and enjoyable/memorable musical creativity. He can write a simple catchy tune, compose a brilliant and intricate instrumental, and anything else in between. Really amazing and wonderful.

Lang Lang has changed a lot since he was the Chinese panda in the 70s.
