Beautiful! Great Job. I just got a couple of root stumps from trees that have been removed from my work campus which I have taken home. How can I find that cutting tool? Can it be rented?
@jonathanstriden48468 ай бұрын
Ok. You want to tell me that this table is out of your comfort zone when you have a cnc plane the tangled root surface in two passes? What level of comfort are you normally accustomed to?

Hi, Great work and machinery. I´m from Ecuador and just for curiosity how much would you sell the root table for. Regards.

hey there, so I'm new to this type of stuff. only just built a dining room table and hand sanded the wood with crappie hand held plastic flat sanders. I have a small root system like this that im wanting to make into a chandelier. what method of sanding equipment would you recommend for getting the nooks and Crannies? just a pice of sandpaper and sheer will? I feel like there should be sandpaper gloves or something... I may invent it if it's not already a thing.
@lestermiller27177 жыл бұрын
dwb289 buy a bunch of sanding sponges. I used a special grinding wheel on my hand held die grinder for rough work first. Then tons of hand sanding to finish things up.

Sandblast will make it look great.....but then again a blast box is pretty costly

Na .... about $2000 give or take ..... depends how good you can be with a chainsaw ... a chainsaw can make those milling cuts .... Sanding def takes the time on that piece
@embracethesuck10412 жыл бұрын
I did something similar with a walnut stump about that size. Roughed it with a chainsaw, flattened it with a router and homemade jig and the rest was basic sanding and finishing.

You have a comfort zone? Nice video and end product. Once again, you raise the bar on creativity. Did you have much problem with rocks embedded in the wood?

Couldn't you pressure wash the wood first, insted of blowing it with air. I think it would be faster.
@YouCanBuildThat11 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but I didn't feel like driving this big thing down to the car wash. I did use a water pressure washer on the stump table project though.
@MichaelFazio8 жыл бұрын
+You Can Build That Ah good idea. I'm about to do my first stump project and I think I will drive it to the car wash. :)
