Doc, during scaling, my dentist pointed out a cavity and after three days he did the filling procedure. He told me that my pulp got exposed a little bit but he completed the filling. a pulp can be capped in filling procedure? or should i consult some other dentist? secondly, i feel some pain in my upper right jaw wisdom tooth, especially once i drink water? what should i do?

The cavity that your dentist pointed out was painfull? And after he finished the filling, did you feel any pain in the same tooth? For sensitivity in wisdom tooth, we can't do anything, there are chances of cavity in your wisdom too. For wisdom tooth, the only treatment is extraction. Just keep proper cleaning of your wisdom, use some good sensitivity paste, apply it with finger and wait for 1 minute. After 1 minute, brush slowly, use soft bristles brush. I hope it will be fine.

@@doczamzam Many many thanks. No the cavity was not painful andf the tooth was very much normal. After the filling procedure there is no pain as such, but there is some kind of pain, cant explain it as it not not sensitive but its my first filling and I am 44 years of age. I will act upon the kind advice as far as the wisdom tooth is concerned.
