I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm so grateful you are about 6 years ahead of me in parenting. Your wisdom in parenting, homeschooling and marriage is so valuable and definitely filled my cup tonight. Thankyou for being such a transparent Christian role model!

You guys made me cry when you went on to talk about surrendering to be parents! So true! As Jesus surrendered for us, we too, should surrender for our children and those we love! 💗💗

This was a great Q&A! Thank you for being so open and honest. I laughed when you guys were talking about baby #6 bc your discussion about it is literally my husband and I talking about baby #5 verbatim 😅 We are in our late 30's but struggle with that same pull.

As a Mom of 4 grown sons... I found the shift when they became moms protecter instead of mom carrying the lead and I had to step back and allow him to become the man. Tough stuff as a boy mom, and yes, sports are the way to go! Hugs~ Lea

You’re so right! There’s definitely an element of that happening here, and it’s bittersweet!!!

Oh Abby, hearing you talk about making adjustments as Jesse ages was much needed for this mama heart. I am struggling with this. I don’t want to discourage my son, but we are wired so differently. I haven’t found my path to come alongside him vs over him. I suspect he struggles with ADHD too so I would like to support that aspect as well. Any suggestions for resources on how to better show up vs direct direct direct? Thanks!

This was wonderful. I always love this vlog but this year it really spoke to my heart. I’m from the Belmont /Dundela area of east Belfast where C. S Lewis spent his early childhood , so I walked past Little Lea and have worshiped in St Marks Dundela and my son was a Campbellian where C S Lewis spent a term as a boarder so like you I really appreciate C S Lewis too. I hope you as a family have a wonderful blessed and peaceful Christmas

Hearing your perspective on parenting and homeschooling teen boys was helpful to me! I have been questioning whether or not to continue homeschooling our 7th grade son even though I love it to prioritize relationship.

I love hearing about how you guys are able to travel so much and that you travel in Florida often! We are going to Florida (Lehigh acres) do you have any recommendations of places to visit with 6 kids ages 2-9?
@RootedinRest22 күн бұрын
Definitely! Caspersen Beach shouldn’t be too far of a drive, we find hundreds of sharks teeth there in a day! Also, the Edison and Ford Winter Estate would be worth a visit!

I enjoyed listening to this. If you head to Banff and want some suggestions send me a message; we lived in that area for many years.
