And those with real 4c hair are looking for solutions on utube. There's PLENTY of 4c naturals on KZbin with super long hair. I think we're all aware that 4c hair can grow super long. it's coz she's got 4c hair mixed with some 4b hair too, That's the confusion. most people have more than one curl pattern in their heads tho. so it doesn't really matter. Like most 4a naturals have some 3c hair too. Atleast she's not 3c claiming 4c, which I've seen a few times
@Ossouko5 жыл бұрын
Her hair looks more on the fine side hence why it doesn't look like the typical 4c. But we all have a mix of type 4 on one head. It's rarely homogeneous... I have a small patch of 4a at the back, 4c all around and 4b on the sides.

@@katejarrette849 people hate the truth. Thank u for the truth. It rather shrinks on wash days no matter how long it is. It does not hang. The curls don't get any looser. Rather it gets more tighter. If even u stretch 4c hair on wash days it does not hang. Even with lesser products in 4c hair so it does not become too thick, or more products to moist, either way it still won't hang. They all claim 4c because that's the common hair type and difficult to manage, and most people are looking for solutions on utube. Their just misinforming people and making them use wrong products. And that's why people like u are speaking the truth, so that people don't get fooled. Seeing a person's curls don't make them 4c just because u see curls. We are talking about really tight coils that dont hang, like More Maddie on utube, she's more like 4c. Check out hair wash day
@veronicahaney6005 Жыл бұрын
finer 4c hair weighs down and hangs more as it gets longer, so the curl pattern looks a little looser, doesnt make it any less 4c than another person with thick and coarse 4c hair. the hair typing system (type 1a-4c) is solely based on the curl pattern of the hair. density, strand thickness, and porosity are separate things

It's gonna sound weird but I honestly think people think 4c is just supposed to look wild and dry all the time because they never know how to actually style/take care of it so when people see 4c hair that looks like this they automatically wanna say its not 4c...with that being said there's nothing wrong with hair that looks like its beyond the 4c type and the hair typing system imo does not take into account all the different hair types i.e. I don't think 4c is the last one

Great video! Immediately subscribed. Idk if you’ll see this, but I’m curious to know if your routine was the same as this when it was shorter too? My hair isn’t long enough yet to weight itself down so it shrinks SO MUCH. And, for me personally, it’s extremely difficult to detangle with out breakage once it gets like that, so I never actually let it shrink it natural state in the 1st place. (I wash in twists) but it would be great if I could figure how to wash it in a simpler way how you do without getting fairy knots and tiny hair balls all over the floor 🤦🏾♀️
@roothie__4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jelisa! My hair did shrink a lot initially. Maybe no to the same extent as yours? But length and having fine strands helps it fall. Keeping hair stretched even after washing is the best way to avoid fairy knots...but sometimes they're just inevitable due to our hair being so coily.
