Root's intelligence has always been so apparent, his clever Jamaican/British slang and idioms are truly blessed in this current musical drought

Saw Roots Manuva back in 2000 at an open mic night . He got them to put in an instrumental cd of brand new second hand and proceeded to spit the whole album. Everyone in the place was like " who in the fuck is this guy"? . I have been listening to that album ever since. Left, Right .

John Doran has interviewed so many artists I love, (Gallagher Brothers / Roots Manuva / John Lydon / Johnny Marr / Richard Ashcroft / Gary Numan / Brian Ferry / Jimmy Page / etc.) He does such an excellent job of knowing just the right questions to ask. His choices are so good I am going to have to check out the artists he has interviewed that I don’t yet know. I wish I could request some interviews. Congo Natty (Rebel MC) / Rob B from Stereo MCS / Ginger Baker / Steve Jones / The list could go on....

Thanks John Doran. This is my favourite British Masters to date! (Gary Numan being a close second) Serious suggestion here: He has only made one album but Archie Marshall's 'Six Feet Beneath the Moon' has already proved him to be a 'British Master'. Its an emalgimation of everything that exemplifies modern British culture.

Saw some people give some comments about the interviewers body language. Thought I would give my input. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGe6pGiuptqEa5o Watch 3:10-3:30 of this video. It will give you some insight why he interviewer may be sitting that way. I think it's more to do with a shooting an interview technique. He may face his body towards the camera to signify he is the interviewer. In the position Roots is sitting makes it appear as he is the one being interviewed. It's more of a subliminal effect rather than an outright conscious effect. Also he may be sitting that way so the camera can get certain shots of Roots Manuva.

I think my only complaint is that he doesn’t do enough of them and why do Noel Gallagher twice?! Britain’s are insane for thinking he is a musical genius. We were buying that shite here. Anyway, make more John and get to more influencers like Viv. They need to be heard more than John Alyson for the millionth time. He (still) has nothing interesting to say. He’s the first troll before they had the internet.
