The British policy or rule for that matter is overemphasised by Pakistani scholars. The pakistani state policies triggered far effective changes, as it faced more serious challenges after partition. Pakistan's sense of insecurity, especially after secession of Bangladesh, changed the situation for worse for smaller communities in particular for Baloch. The Pakistan's sense of insecurity had repercussion for all smaller provinces as KPK and Sindh too other than Balochistan although at different times. Since Pakistan's power corridors were dominated by Security apparatus, the security issue got magnified culminating at emaciated state of Pakistan.

Untill and unless the issue if Balochistan is addressed it is impossible to bring peace and stability in the province. And it is directly related to Baloch national identity, Their legal recognition on their resources, land, and all major decision must be taken by them..the issue of Baloch and Balochistan is not some proxy war based on geopolitics and power struggle in the region. These are secondary. Its a historic and genuine issue deepky rooted in Baloch national identity politics and grievences .. All they want is their due right. These so called proxy war theories are just escapes or pretexts from understanding and accepting the issue as it is. We accept it or not. The truth is without the consent of Baloch nation it is impossiple to bring peace in the province... And other truth is now they are in full control of their land and resources. Even military operations are usless these .

Democracy, if allowed, would have solved most of issues of Pakistan or at least true nature of issues would have appeared to resolve. Unfortunately the clique at he helm of affairs have interest to serve directly in contrast of state's interest. The rulers have to understand that Pakistan is diverse in many ways and further futile attempts to erase diversity must be avoided.

There is no democratic federal or confederate in Pakistan Iran and afghanistan.the Balochistan must and the other provinces must Vito power in senate and assembly.the all provinces must get 75% from resources of provinces.and all nationalities languages must be national languages..we are not being oppressing by Israel America or Russia or China. We are being oppressing by Muslim countries pakistan Iran and Afghanistan like our brother nation kurds

I didn't enjoy this interview of him because he is more Pakistani than Baloch. Pakistanis don't express Baloch problems correctly. Find another real guy who knows exactly the problem. Simply, Baloch are NOT Pakistanis , so sugar and salt are different chemical ingredients.

Dr. Ammar Ali Jan has been fired from one university after another; the state has left no stone unturned in trying to financially cripple him. Activists like him have a right to earn through alternative channels in order to sustain their livelihood and their activism.
