I am Getting the feeling we Might End Up Seeing way More than 1(current guess is 3-4) Resurrections take place. Current candidates for me Dragon king Nibelung. The third descender. The traveler himself (specifically Via Having the flames used on us to give the Traveler a power up to be able to fight Capitano and win (Probably after losing the first round) And my fourth guess is an Accidental Fusion of 2 Descenders with the Dragon King Nibelung with the Traveler due to the Fire effectively Melting them all into one Being signora(I know this isn't likely to happen but I still want them to end up being Playable)

So Teyvat is essentially stuck in a hellish cycle of Samsara, rebooting every time that someone/something wipes the memories of Irminsul and "kills" the world and resets it? But some curse/problem has doomed the same "fates" to play out each time, with those (like Zhongli) who are unaffected by the changes in Irminsul, remembering the previous "worlds" and working to try to break the "loom of fate" and upend the whole "fated to repeat the cycle" thing? Like Genshin Groundhog Day. The Abyss sibling did mention "I have already been through this world once before."

the whole memories section reminded me that traveler lost most of their memories at the beginning of the game while their sibling still seems to remember everything. and traveler is considered a descender, while the sibling is not. it doesn't completely track because traveler still remembers some things, but it makes me wonder if traveler could be khaenriah's first successful attempt at creating a descender, or was at least subject to funky rebirth experiments while in khaenriah.

There are two things I find interesting that you didn't bring up: (1) Kaeya: Is there any need to explain? He's also a descendant of a noble family of Khaenri'ah. I can only imagine the interactions between these two. Oh, the fun. (2) Her constellation: It's, as many of us predicted, the severed hand candle. What I find interesting is that, this whole time, we thought she was going to be a traitor to the Fatui or the Tsaritsa. However, this isn't the case. I think, instead, it symbolizes her being a traitor of not just the previous Knave but also of her own people. Think about it. Khaenri'ah was a place of no god, whose people actively despised the gods of Teyvat and were determined to live separate to them and their rule. Arlecchino, on the other hand, actively serves a god herself as one of her elite soldiers. If she were to meet others from Khaenri'ah today and they were to get knowledge of her lineage, they would likely openly view her as a traitor. She would never be accepted by her own people and, honestly, that's kind of sad when you think about it.

I want to correct your argument no 2, first of all I want to believe that Arlecchino is a person who is loyal to the Tsaritsa and everything about him that says he is willing to betray anyone is just a "misconception", this is refuted by his character page about vision, it says there Arlecchino is not and never bow to any gods, and this makes me think that helping create the Tsaritsa's new world is not her goal in joining the Fatui at all, and I smell that there will be a betrayal of the Khaenriahn to the Tsaritsa which will be triggered by Pierro who always acts in the name of his idealism before in the name of the Tsaritsa's idealism, I Wouldn't be surprised if he really did manipulated the Tsaritsa, who is an archon who seems contained by her own emotion, considering that Pierro's title is "The Jester" and the Archon Quest Sneezhnaya Traveler will help the Tsaritsa instead of facing her like many people speculate, and Pierro also said to Arlecchino "You have to focus on what will happen in the future, compared to the present", what will happen in the future?🤔

What if Irmin is described as not the sharpest pen in the pencil case because he has fragmented himself and is kinda like Furina, so the human part that does not know much. This way he could simultaneously also be the king but not a God as he would not have his divinity, hence the nation without a God would technically apply. Also if he would be in fragments then he could be many beings at once so all of your theories about what he is can be true simultaneously! 😉

What will become of me and the others in the House of the Hearth once everything is finished?" "I will be frank. None of you have any place in my ideals, for I plan only to uphold 'the virtue of folly.' But I can guarantee that our Tsaritsa will once again be a god who loves all humans, and in her ideals shall all human wishes be granted." He doesn't actually answers the question. He says Tsaritsa wouldn't do anything but also says that it's NOT what HE has in mind. To me, this almost screams that he's using Tsaritsa and will do his own thing. It also would make sense if Khaenri'ah is supposed to be after Snezhnaya, it's Pierro's home country after all.

Something I've been thinking too is that the Traveler might have recognized the Crimson Moon when it appears behind Arlecchino during their fight, whatever that is or what it means. I kinda had a little bit of that impression, that the sight of that made the Traveler connect some dots and/or realize something about Arlecchino's nature or true identity and just... freaking kept that information to themselves. It's kinda easy to forget that the Traveller knows a lot more than they let us know, cause that mf won't talk about anything they remember from the Cataclysm or their time with the Abyss Sibling unless asked, and even then it's a stretch, lol. We know the Traveler knows about Khaenr'iah and it's hinted that they probably have been there before it was destroyed. So, them seeing the Crimson Moon, and we players knowing how tied that imagery is to Khaenr'iah lore and Perinheri, I dont' really think it's a stretch to believe Traveler recognized that somehow, and maybe that's what truly scared them in that moment when they look absofucking terrified.

Did Pierro know because of her eyes? Khaenrian's most noticeable features are their eyes (I think). Eclipse Dynasty Khaenrians have blue diamond(?) eyes and maybe Crimson Moon Dynasty Khaenrians have the "X" eyes like Arlecchino?

21:57 considering that the new artifact lore says that Fortuna was made out of the previous "Irminsul" (literal Silver Cedar in the artifact lore) that was located at the bottom of the High Sea and came from a "city that's not in any history" - I do think that Irminsul is simply something that changes form, while gathering the world's information into itself. What are the chances that Irmin found Fortuna during/after Remuria's fall and changed its "fate" to match his own. And then, when Irmin fell during the cataclysm, Sumerian's named the tree after him. Alleged door to Khaenriah is also right at the border of Sumeru and Fontaine, so theoretically it would be logical if Rukkha took over the Fortuna from Irmin there. The artifact set also mentions Musica Mundana (and mundana means worldly) and Master of Fortuna (Sybilla) is supposedly writing/controlling that music, which implies that the Music of the World is written onto "Fortuna/Irminsul". And when Remus tried changing his nation's Fate - he explored the "chords of the world "(i.e. Musica Mundana I think) through which he learned the mysteries of Fortuna, which included the "notes of fate". In other words, Celestia might've created the proto form of "Irminsul" and wrote the world's entire history onto it. And those who can connect with Irminsul can know that history (Sybilla; supposedly Rukkha, etc). And this is why Descenders are not connected to the records of Irminsul, because they are not part of this world's history, and why they can rival the Gods and change world's Fate. edit: 23:53 gift of foresight would also tie into this theory. Irmin saw the future because he gained the knowledge of the "Fortuna". last edit: I forgot to mention that Ordo theorized about Samsaras and their movement from Snezhnaya to Natlan to Remuria to (latest at their time) Sumeru. So this would support the theory that "Fortuna" moved from Remuria to Sumeru. Khaenria could've been excluded here because they were godless or maybe because they got somewhat removed from the Irminsul history for being godless, considering that Ordo was active right after Khaenriah fell and the Fortuna's change of hands supposedly happened (potentially with some changes).

The REAL way hoyo is going to kill off a character is by making them lose their memory. But really, the whole death = memory loss and visions being taken away also meaning memory loss, and visions being the way one ascends to celestia, and that part the traveler's vision character story where it says "is it wise to allow a moment's ambition to dominate one's entire life". And what about dainsleif who has lost some of his memory and who is named after a sword that can't be sheathed until it has killed someone. Also, the Irmin with memory issues also reminds me of Acheron from Honkai Star Rail, who also has memory issues until she unsheathes her blade where she can remember things properly.

HEAR ME OUT: The new artifact set made cannon that in the arrival of Deshret, Irminsul's protector was Sybilla. So now we know it wasn't Rukkadevatha/Nadiha all along, it's a position you can step into. NOW WHAT IF The Crimson Dinasty mastered Irminsul's ability to turn memories into pure elemental energy? But to retain one's memory is to curb the ley lines flow, much like a blood clot that can lead to necrosis, that analysis would perfectly explain Arlecchino's arms as a side effect of manipulating Ley Lines

Egeria's imprisonment and Deshret's arrival pre date the Archon War, it could very well pre date the Eclipse Dinasty and it's takeover of the Memory Tree 4. Hence Irminsul getting the name AFTER King Irmin, before it could just be THE Silver Tree, since it's very distinct 5. There's not enough evidence to prove that this silver tree ISN'T Irminsul

I am not the one who compares characters from other Hoyo games but after reading her Character story and how Pierro said “Tsaritsa would love humans again” I am 100% sure she will be Elysia Ex-py not Bronya like people thought. Elysia basically fell in love with humanity Edit; here is some crazy ahh theory by me: memories are obviously very important in Teyvat, even in Arle’s quest she made sure to mention it at least 2 times. I have a theory that whoever or whatever is “ruling” Teyvat right now is feeding on the memories, kinda like Promised Neverland thing. For Celestia (whoever is ruling it rn) its most important that souls go into Laylines after they die, its kinda like Aranara’s, but instead of Bija’s we get constellations. And it is very thin foil thing but I think that may be whats up this entire time..

I find it so interesting that Kaehnriah had a god-king, he's just not known as one, but clearly they were doing the exact same thing (twice? crimson and eclipse) as Deshret and Remus, I don't think we know enough lore about decarabian to say if he was also trying to defy fate or if he was just trying to make a safe haven, which is in line with the others. Both Deshret and Remus were trying to break the shackles of fate. Now we had Arle's quest and over and over there is the motif of choice and fighting fate and earning the freedom. I come back to her glitching idle and that makes me think that her bloodline power might have literally corrupted her data and as Irminsul updates it struggles to capture the file that is Arlecchino. Seems like a logical place to start trying to unshackle yourself from the tree, if the tree can't record you, per definition you'd no longer be off Teyvat, you'd be similar to a descender. Also this makes me think of rhinedotter and Albedo, because we learn in his character story that "The universe is the dark essence of the true starry sky, and the earth is the accumulated memories of time and lives. The chalk: that is you. The earth is where alchemy gets its name, and is the basis of all life." Now I'm wondering did she create Albedo from the purified remains of someone that got burned through by the same power that Arlecchino has. Her power burns away memories and lives, alchemy is all about heating and transforming, and in a different part of Albedo's stroy he demonstrates not with Chalk but with Ash how to create new/different life. Was Rhinedotter thinking, we've strated the process of nigredo the blacking, as demonstrated by Arlecchino's arms, and when that's over you can take that "ash" and continue the process to Albedo?

Arlecchino will only continue to be more important, especially if she lives to see the Khaenri'ah chapter. In hindsight, lore relating to her can be found in version 1.0. Fischl seems VERY involved and various books like Legend of the Lone Sword also stick out as involving the Crimson Moon. The Midsummer Courtyard challenge might even tie in as it is the Fires of Purification.

I don't think so, she has a lot of death flags, the most prominent one is in the archive description of her boss fight, I doubt she will survive the snezhnaya chapter considering that in her voiceline she has beef with dottore, pulcinella, pantalone, and Tsaritsa

@@kofabillion in the description of the boss fight there is a sentence that one day the fire will burn down the remaining descendants of the crimson moon, maybe the fire in question is the curse which is now like a clock on the remaining days of Arlecchino's life, and in the description of the cutscene at the end of the story quest, it is explained that Arlecchino and Clervie will be together soon and have agreed to meet in the next life, idk honestly, that's really very obvious foreshadowing

@@jinsoju she is, look at the voiceline about the tsaritsa, she says that if one day they are on different sides, arlecchino will draw his sword on the tsaritsa, this is of course foreshadowing, even the genshin wiki says that the possibility of arlecchino betraying is very high, and I can't see the conclusion the end for her character if she survives until the endgame, in my opinion death is the best conclusion for Peruere's character, so she can keep her promise to her friend Clervie to be together in the next life

Crack theory. The Sinner is the Crimson moon. The reason why Caribert goes kaboom is because his memory was restored but the curse reached his heart. The reason Clothar dies is because he goes through a rebirth with the Crimson Moon and reverses the curse by burning away his Khaenri'ahn heritage. I dunno, just spitballing ideas now. I enjoyed this video more than I enjoyed Arlecchino's story quest.

Wonder how Gold and her alchemical adventures tie into this tale of two dynasties. Also, surprised that there was no mention of the moon sisters this time. Theyve long been theorised to be the equivalent of the Moirai, embodiment of fate ; one decides the moment of your birth, one the length of your life, and one the moment of your death…except 2 of the 3 moon sisters died in a cataclysmic event and there is only one left in the sky. And perinheri (or maybe the CMS, or maybe both, i should go check again) seems to imply that the power over fate of the Crimson Moon is a khaenriahn delusion, and that there isnt an actual fate, only some sort of control by a higher power which can be escaped. I wonder if the last of the sisters is the one that decides of the length of ones life, and since her sisters who ruled over life and death were destroyed, she emulates the cycle of life by tampering with memories ? Maybe this is why the aranara equate death with the thousand winds ? Maybe the eye of the Crimson Moon is horrified when looking at perinheri because there are loopholes in her semblance of a cycle that she can see but not prevent ? Maybe Arlecchino is the « Cinder of Two Worlds Flames » because two out of three « worlds » have already been destroyed, and the Fatuis ultimate goal is to burn the last one to ashes…or maybe i am just getting too far. On a more reasonable note, there existed three goddesses of vengeance and retribution in Ancient Greek mythology, named the Erinnyes, and who some myths made the younger sisters of the Moirai. I think these may be as much of an inspiration for the Crimson Moon as the Moirai

I mean, it shouldn't come across as weird that Irminsul is tied to fate... since it's heavily theorised that the 'stars' that make up people's constellations are just the fruits of the branches of Irminsul. And constellations show an individual's fate and future. Since the future and 'fate' are the outcome of our history.

Makes sense to say the Crimson moon dynasty like other similar old civilizations praised the moon sisters, and the dynasty changes are linked to their death. Maybe the king or kings of Khaenria are seen in a similar way to Vanessa as a sort of saint messenger of gods. (Basically how ancient latinoameican royalty was perceived) even though with the change of dynasty Khaenria turns into a godless nation, some old traditions remain, explaining why post cataclysm the sinner is praised like the newest godlike entity.

The ley lines are the roots of Irminsul, storing memory in the form of elemental energy. I believe the three moon sisters represent the three fates in Greek mythology and maybe even the three daughters of the Rhine in German lore. Arlecchino of the Crimson moon be an incarnation of one of the three original three moon sisters representing the end of time/life, fate, and/or memory--the other two Moon sisters representing the beginning and middle.

hey great video as always, hope you had alot of fun with the patch. for the longest time I thought the black sun was the one connected to fate because it appeared as a symbol for every great civilization in the past that fell, we assumed due to forbidden knowledge. But now that the crimson moon is shown more in the story and you theorizing it is connected to fate, I think it is a tango of two or even three. Something like the dark sun shown as an eye is struggling for power with the crimson moon shown as an eye. Sort of like whether solar or lunar eclipse it's always the same celestial bodies in a different position. I just don't know yet if it's either a natural back and forth or rather some events in the world of Teyvat causing this. Fate is a big theme right now and it would make sense for it to be a natural cycle since the night sky is attributed with the power of fate similar to how sun, earth and moon are moving inside of fixed orbits but humans defying their fate is also a very recent theme with the events of the world quest. Personally I am tending to the latter but in the end people have two eyes so there might be a middleground still. Now that whole stuff made me think about how most Kaenri'ahns we know of - I assume they are from the eclipse dynasty - always have one eye covered up and ruin machines are all build having a single eye and what does this tell us about the sword of twilight. Excuse my rambling as I am about to dive back into the rabbit hole. Thank you for the video, really appreciate the work you always put in.

Perinheri, to me, 1000% confirms the theory that Teyvat is upside-down and Khanri'ah is on the "true side" of the world, and that's why Teyvat has the false sky, and Khanri'ah's is a true sky. The book says, "Due to the Kingdom's unique position, things from outside this world were always leaking into it.." If the memory=new life ritual thingy stands, then the sequences of the descenders make sense. Perhaps when the twins first arrived Teyvat, only the other twin had the power to be considered a descender, and whatever happened at the end of the other twin's journey, they lost and its remains were used in creating the gnosis. As we've already know, the Khaennrians were fully aware of the rarity of descenders, thus after seeing the other twin failed, they performed the wiping memory ritual so that the traveller's data in Irminsul is deleted and be started anew (like a new save file). It is just natural to perform the ritual on the traveller at the time since after the other twin died, no one else besides the traveller is as powerful and performing that ritual would almost guarantee that the traveller will become a descender, and they were in dire need to have one. Come to think of it, it is really weird that although the twins arrived Teyvat before the catalysm or even at the time of the catalysm, none of the seven remembers the traveller nor recognise them even the slightest (except maybe Venti or the witches). This makes me agree that the ritual mentioned, described as forsaking the memories and bringing someone across into the new world is, in reality, not only wiping its memories but also tempering that person's data in Irminsul. And following this logic, if that ritual has been performed on the traveller= traveller's data in Irminsul has been tempered, it then makes sense that no one remembers the traveller (except maybe Venti or the witches).

Now that her burst also has a crimson moon, and we now have theorized about the red moon being the eye of judgement and a sign of sealing fate, I can’t just help not finding that red eyes motifs on her outfit help reference that. This just further proves the point that she’s Khaenri’an and comes from the Crimson moon dynasty. Dottore using Bloodfire to burn the Irminsul would be CRAZY. I'd love to see it happen. So, by making the kids entering the orphanage be witnessed by the Crimson Moon, they would become tied down to the Crimson Moon's fate? No wonder none of them became Descenders. Wait, did something similar happen to the Traveller's twin? I wouldn't be surprised if the Crimson Moon was one of the killed Moon Sisters, which would explain its memory and fate powers. The Moon sister sunk into the Abyss, and was reborn into a Crimson Moon thanks to Abyss juice (and because gods can't simply just die). Reminds me of Orobashi. I am pretty convinced that the "poison" drunk by the Crimson Moon nobility was Crimson Moon's blood. Liquefied bloodfire, if you will. So, I am wondering. Did the kids entering the orphanage have to drink the liquefied blood flames to be gazed upon the Crimson Moon? Was that the ritual of rebirth, the same one Arlecchino has her HotH kids do if they want to leave? But in the kids' head, they thought they were going through a tunnel. Or else, the tunnel was literal, and simply being close enough to the Crimson Moon's bloodfire was able to burn away their old memories. Additionally, if the King's mind was muddled and he literally called himself a Crimson Moon, was it because he kept drinking bloodfire? I recognise that the Knave's description said that only before the rise of the Dark Sun did the Crimson Moon nobility start drinking poison. However, that may have referred to partaking in a continuous and prolonged drinking of Crimson Moon's blood by the rest of the nobles. That eventually made them evolve, similar to Jakob after he drank a bunch of Elynas' blood. All of that would explain why Arlecchino has both angelic (Moon Sister) and vampiric design elements.

One funny thing to me is that these Kings in Genshin, all have some sort of divine emissaries. Angelica, Goddesses of Flowers, and Sybilla. All of them are seelies (or divine emissaries) that guide these kings to the treasure that humanity desires. Freedom of fate, and the hivemind of everyone. But that desire is exactly what prompted them their disaster.

starting to consistently pick up on the numerous 'one-eyed' vs 'many-eyed' motifs. during the end of arlecchinos boss fight it was implied she was reaching for the travelers eye(s), as well as a lot of her character design highlighting eye symbolism (ruby eyes on her clothes, most unique eyes in the game, spider-like undertones). then you have the 'eclipse dynasty' khaenrians who are covering one of their eyes. i cant help but feel like theres a underlying threat of 'seeing too much'. even as the traveler, as we have been called a 'witness'.

Not sure if this will get seen, however I want to bring up 3 points I've been burning with while showering while listening (it's been torture having to wait to type this only 20m in though please don't punish me for not watching it all) 1: I read on the Genshin Lore subreddit and vaguely remember myself something about fairytales being a way to circumvent deletion of memories in Irminsul. 2: Nahida makes multiple comments about Moons and iirc their relationship to fate during Samsaras. I don't remember the details but plan to check later. Most notably, nigh all these references come PRIOR to Nahida extinguishing her corrupted self. 3: Wanderer removed himself from Irminsul. This is notable because there is a single scene in which we see him in the past, which we shouldn't be able to do due to him erasing himself from Irminsul. All this culminates into 3 major things I wonder. 1: Could the Perinheri books be a circumnavigation of the memory deletion? If so, who could the author be? Genshin Lore reddit seems to be debating if it could be Arlecchino or Basil (Former vice(?) director of Narzissenkruz Ordo). Either case carries HUGE implications, and it's worth reminding that both Kaenriah, Narzissenkruz, and Fontaine (notably sitting atop where Remuria used to be, proven by the musical score you give to the conch Melusine. It was written in Remurian) 2: Given corrupted Nahida had all the forbidden knowledge inside her, could she have KNOWN about the effects of the Crimson Moon and some of that knowledge slipped through to Nahida by accident? Does it carry any implications? After all if Forbidden Knowledge includes that information, then as a result of Nahida remembering she was unsuccessful in removing the forbidden knowledge from Teyvat. 3: Given he is present in that cutscene, could that mean that a fairytale was spun of him and it retains some vague memory for some people? Is that how that works? Given the image was in Arlecchino content, could they carry more of a relationship than just fellow harbingers? Arlecchino takes in orphans all the time, and Wanderer was essentially an orphan. Was the one experiment she allowed the Wanderer due to his being a (as she knew) a non sentient being? Most terrifyingly, was his erasure from Irminsul intentionally incomplete? Luckily 3 does have a kind of scapegoated exit. That being that Nahida returned his memories to him, and thus they may be back in Irminsul, albiet more as a dreamlike state. The other things remain.

I think Khaenriah’s crimson moon dynasty worshipped Deshret and Goddess of flowers. I think after Deshret died they went underground. I think they’re possibly related to the desert people who have their eyes covered. We know in the desert they did sacrifices. It would make sense if Arlecchino was sacrificed and then brought back, or maybe even she’s a sole survivor from crimson moon dynasty who was cursed and the new curse from the cataclysm mixed with it. That would make sense esp, if the crimson moon dynasty is actually the people from Gurabad who survived after Gurabad went underground from Liloupar’s scheme. It would at least make sense that they are from the desert originally because there’s a reference from the ancient dragonspine lore about the new godless nation maybe being able to take on Celestia. I’ve always tried to figure out how they could have been in Teyvat with no god. But maybe their god died? Or “died”. We know Deshret was trying to separate his mind from his body. I think he was successful. I think he is the sinner actually, which I know is a not so unpopular theory. Anyways, just some of my pocket change for anyone reading to mull over. I’m sure there are some holes, but I really feel in my gut that at the very least Khaenriah came from Deshrets people.

I have two crack theories. Arlecchino is a Half Khaenri’ahn from the Crimson Moon Dynasty, and she comes from the Alberich Clan. Peruere Alberich! (My reason for believing she’s Half Khaenri’ahn is because of her Blood Debt Directive looking like her pupils, but the evolved version, Blood Debt Due, looks like an upgraded version of her pupils. This reminded me of Kaeya’s Half-Khaenri’ahn pupils, and Dainsleif’s Full-Khaenri’ahn pupils.)(Why I think she’s part of the Alberich Clan is because … it’s the only Clan we’re aware of that has lived during the Crimson Moon Dynasty, at least, according to Perinheri. If you can find any more similarities, then please go ahead and tell me! I’d love to know them :D) This second crack theory of mine is … less defendable, but still a rather fun thought to have. Khaenri’ah is currently living in the Welkin Dynasty! (The only info I can give about this, is that the item “Blessing of the Welkin Moon” describes the moon receiving its name of Welkin Moon … because it’s the first moon we’ve seen. Which, to me, gives the indication that our gaze is what supplied the moon a new identity. Is this perhaps our will rivaling the world? Idk, might be thinking too much there.) (This would also tell us that Khaenri’ah came from a Dynasty of Alchemy, to a Dynasty of Machinery, to a Dynasty of Blessings.)

My theory is that the inverted sky mentioned in the book is just Irminsul. The version 1.x events Unreconciled Stars and parts of Energy Amplifier Initiation imply that the stars in the fake sky are Irminsul fruits. It is why they contain memories and looking at a person's constellation (like with Mona's Hydromancy) can reveal things about their fate. However, since it was mentioned that the parts of the tree that grew throughout Tevyat (ex. Leylines) are roots, what the Astrologers saw was probably the top of the tree which should be have fruits ( fake stars) growing there. Thus, you'd get an "inverted sky " and Astrology without going to the surface. The Heretical Astrologers were looking down, possibly right into the Abyss. Side note, Genshin really needs to make the lore in events they're never going to rerun more available.
