Thank you very much, I was looking for it!...hope it'll work as I want it to. Edit: I'm having problem....the plan is deforming only vertices it's physically close to/lie on. What do I do? Edit 2: I figured it out...I just had to change parameter of modifier from vertices deformation to face deformation. Hope it helps someone.

Doesn't work for me 3SD Max version 2020... The rope acts like fabric, I followed along with the tutorial. I have no clue... :)

The one problem I've had with using this technique is I can't figure out how to keep it from stretching. I need it to stay constant. Do you know how to fix this?

Why is it that your rope immediately looks better on first sim? My is crinkling up on itself and bending at sharp angles.

Maybe double check your settings, system units and scale. I'm likely using feet and inches to measure and inches as the system units in this video.

@@RCL4958 sorry, I'd realized after commenting that I only have 2020 and 2021 installed. I'm updating to 2022 tonight, so should be able to test tomorrow.
