In my opinion, one obvious and important benefit of these ropeless jump ropes is for anyone who lives in a cold weather climate. During winter, you might not want or be able to go outside to jump rope due to extreme weather and you might not have enough space in your home to jump rope either, which is where the ropeless jump rope would definitely prove useful as it doesn't take up much space.

I do fake jump rope lol. Dont even need these things. Throw on some pump me up tunes and go for half an hour. Practice getting some foot work moves down and its the best cardio I can get away with mid winter.

This is why I got them. I have a lot of the other Crossrope systems and use them faithfully throughout spring through late autumn. However, I live in Cleveland, and once winter hits, I can forget about going to the garage to jump. Too cold for me and the ropes. I got the 1/2 lb and 1lb ropeless and now I can just go in my basement and jump.

People hating on these neglect to see that a 350-450 pound person could stand on a rebounder and use these to exercise even if they can't jump rope. Not everyone can start or learn things in one full step. They need things broken down with difficulty modified to what they can do. Good video JRD! You guys are a solid influence in my life. Couldn't even do 10 skips, but now I'm counting sets of a hundred.

This is such a good point. It does offer a lower impact option for people who are starting at a very high weight. This offers such an attainable and safe option to get started. Also for example I know someone who is very active but he has a disability in his one leg due to a car accident. This is the only way this person could get somewhat close to it

I've had the ropeless pack for a week. And these are a godsend. I don't have much space in my apartment, no high ceiling and I have neighbours below me and the climate is less than ideal. I did some of the crossrope workouts with them and intensity of the workouts were no different from using the ropes. The only con with these is if I loose my rhythm the balls at the ends would hit my arms. And at least I don't have to jump as high if my feet start getting tired.

During lockdown I didn't have the opportunity to go to the gym or even outside to jump rope, and I couldn't do it at home either because I have a low hanging chandelier, so i bought the cheepest cordless jump rope on amazon. In 4 months I lost 11.7 kg, so if your goal is only weight loss, then it's a good alternative. Dan totally missed the point of the cordless rope. If I only wanted to build my upper body, there are many ways that are better than jumping rope. Push Ups, Pull Ups, cheap suspension trainers just to name a few. The intended use of these is not just spinning. You can get a good workout by doing the usual (but not trick) jump rope moves, without tripping or having to continually start over. Basic step, boxer's step, one legged jumps, running in place, high knees, etc are very effective with the handles. In addition, I use them for step ups on an aerobic step - try that with a jump rope. You could also walk with them for cardio. I also work out in my yard more often than not, and I can't jump rope on grass - the rope catches. So I can use the handles and do the jump rope moves for circuits or cardio with my other workouts. I do jump rope, but often will alternate with the cordlesshandles just to break it up, or make it easier (not tripping). If nothing else, I use it to build up my endurance for regalur jumping, since I don't have to worry about tripping and stopping all the time.

I bought them and I actually think they’re pretty good. I also have Crossrope’s regular ropes. For someone like me, living in a NYC duplex with softwood floors and not a whole lot of space, it makes sense to have these. My wife won’t let me jump rope inside, so this is a good compromise. Also, it gets cold during the winter over here, so jumping rope outside is a non-starter. I had other cordless ropes before and they sucked. These actually do kind of feel like you’re using Crossrope ropes. I’m an experienced jump roper, too.

I think these were made to do more than to mimic jump rope motion. Think about arm circles, where your arm is pointing straight out to the side or in front of you and mimicking a window washing type movement while holding these. And also varying the size of the circle motion and the direction .

I just received a pair of the two pound cordless jump rope and immediately recognized what you said during this video, “your can’t substitute the jump rope experience”. I live in the Northeast and it’s cold during the winter so these will do for now as the product, in my opinion is fair. However, if Crossrope makes a three pound version of the cordless rope I would more than likely buy it as the two pound cordless rope gives a fair workout.

Just got these and I gotta say I love them. I haven’t jumped rope in a long long time. I didn’t have the room for it. Maybe it won’t burn as much calories as using an actual rope but it does get my heart rate up and I work up a sweat. And yes, I do jump and not just swing the ropes like you do. It seems like you didn’t really gave these a chance. Reminds me of back in the day when Vinyl “old school ” djs scoffed at DJs that played on CDs or software. In my case, it’s perfect. I’m even getting more jumps in because of the compact size of them. I get up, grab them and do a few skips right there next to my bed. Same thing at night. I give these ropes my seal of approval.

We agree, moving your body consistently and getting into a calorie deficit is one of the most effective ways to lose weight. However... How engaging are jumping jacks? How much fun is it to hold a couple weights and jump around with a timer going? Part of the reason we (and SOOOOOO many others) are successful with jump rope is because you can have a style. You can learn new tricks. You can challenge yourself. This makes it engaging. When someone is engaged they tend to get more consistent and consistency = results.

I feel like since I wouldn't be timing the motion of the jump around the rotation of the rope, my jump/steps would be so out of sync and I would end up just twirling. Looks like jump ropes with a microphone at the end of it, I'll just use my nunchuks instead. The beauty of jump roping is the timing and reflex of the workout (as well as getting in your cardio), and Crossrope gave you that along with strengthening your upperbody (especially foorearms) along with the option of changing different ropes with different handles. These won't give you that, but a good forearm endurance workout instead. As Jump Rope dude said it, it can be good for beginners to get the feel of the real experience.

Not a bad option, but still, if one of these hits anyone, it's really gonna hurt em. maybe just skip when she's napping?

I think this is exactly what I am looking for. I am deaf in one ear and the imbalance makes it really hard for me to actually jump rope. I can only do about 2 or 3 jumps before I have to start over. I just don't have the coordination. but, if I can simulate jumping rope without tripping myself, that would be great. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I invest.

May i add something: Who would use these: Disabled people/people in wheelchair. Awesome to add those in a workout. Can be very effective on your biceps, triceps, deltoids, forearms, traps, and even abs to stabilize in the wheelchair. I love those.

Jump rope dude Im new to jumprope and got get lean set..was thinking of getting ropless for days its raining outside...im stuck deciding if I should get 1/2lb or 1LB. And can I use my get lean handles with 1lb also
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes Жыл бұрын
Go for the get lean set. 1/2 + 1/4. If you can only get one rope, go for the 1/2 (it's rad!). Technically the rope will fit on the lean handles, but we don't recommend it.

@@JumpRopeDudes Yes, the coordination especially when trying alternate jumps is a challenge and I don't feel any progress. Of course it's quite late to start something like that at 57. Children and teenagers have it easier... ;)
