Rory was a real musician, he did not need to pose or be a flash celebrity star. His brilliant unique music speaks for itself. One of a rare kind. Absolutely, brilliant!!!

Fantastic album, many songs made in to live tours, like the Irish tour in 1974. One of my favorites. What a talent Rory had and also the band, the guy on piano superb, drums, cymbals and percussion all Lue, Gerry, and Rod with Rory formed class act.

If you like Hendrix, Clapton, SRV or any of the "famous" blues/rock guitarists, please... IF you do not know of RORY GALLAGHER, give his music a deep dive. Huge, original talent from whom guitar chops, history and joy flow in massive waves. I was blessed to have seen him 1985 in a small club in Philly where he came back for at least 3 encores b/c of the love the audience showed ...and Rory gave it right back! His live sets were legendary. Check out especially anything from 1972-1977: so damn good.

@GNES $TECK Likewise I was lucky enough to see the man in 73 from a near front of the house seat at the Manchester Free Trade hall and they tore the place up. Live in Europe is the best (rock) if you can onto that.

Just learned of Mr. Gallagher a few months ago. Im 38 and feel ashamed ive never heard of this gentleman. So far i own one vinyl. A stratocaster. A Vox amp. A shirt. My playing has never improved in 20 years until i found this man. Really opened my eyes. I never was into SRV or Clapton. For some reason they didnt click. Rory has left an impression on my soul for life. Im going on my honeymoon end of this month to Ireland. Cork and Ballyshannon are on my list to see first. As well as a snap shot next to Phils statue too..

@@murdock8068 Cheers, Murdock-so happy Rory found you! All Rory is bad@55, ...PERIOD. I love his work from Taste thru the late 70s; there's something about that 70s sound and vibe. Blueprint, Tattoo and his s/t debut album are faves plus anything live, esp IRISH TOUR 1974 album. And Clapton nvr did it for me either, tho SRV live in 1983 was spectacular... I am from TX, after all!

@@gnesteck3276 Yes sir! Greetings from Kentucky! I need to get back to Lake Fork for some super size Bass fishing down there...Haha I'm with you. Taste and the 70s Rory are my favorite. Although im still working my way through his albums starting with Taste. Today i found the Blueprint album on here and need to listen to it. Ive got Taste up until Against the grain minus blueprint. For some reason itunes doesnt have that particular album.
