Had the pleasure of meeting him in St. Louis in '85. His driver was a bit turned around, needed directions to club. Me x another lucky fan waiting in line got to drive to bands hotel w/woman from club!! Rory x Gerry McAvoy signed about half dozen vinyl albums for me, were super accommodating x pleasant! Very nice guys! Bands van followed us to Mississippi Nights on the landing in St. Louis. They tore that club apart that evening!!! Thank you, Rory, Gerry!!🙏🎶🔥🇮🇪☘️👍

A totally underrated guitarist worldwide as he wasn't a pop star and didn't have big hit singles, but when you hear him solo he blows you away. Bassist Gerry McEvoy is one lucky man to have been with Rory for so long.

Nobody said ever he's underrated. He is one of the bests if he is not the best. He came from an era that the technical part of the guitar was after the soul. And the soul leaves for ever. That was the one and only Rory. The Soul in through he's fingers...

Did Rory drive Cars??? Every time i see him in car he is a passenger? There are alot of great blues and rock guitar players, I truly think he was the best European blues guitarist that graced this earth. So sad of his early demise. I'm sure he's playing his brains out for our creator!😂 ❤
