Great video man, underrated channel for sure. For my game, don’t love the thought of opening my hips before takeoff but the impact tip was golden 🤙🏼

I agree with the trigger point, but as AMG has shown when they pulled up Rory Mcilroy in Gears and looked at his swing from above the head the arm depth is an illusion. He gets depth from chest/back/shoulder/torso turn, but his arms still have width away from his chest, right shoulder, and his head. The look of arm depth people mistakenly interpret to be in his swing is an illusion from the downline camera angle created by it static position compared to his large upper body coil. He does not pin his left arm to his chest, his right arm does not swing deep behind him and his arms do not move independently or deep.

what amg video did you get all of this from?

@@zayynlmb1 This is one of the videos where they discussed it. Around the 13:33 point they start discussing Mcilroy's swing and the illusion of arm depth in it : kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6umgXl4h7qrgq8si=ENAInw4tc1YCttu_&t=575

Are you trying to make your swing path so steep for this demonstration? Your launch angle is like thirty degrees?

i notice all the top teaching pros like yourself never mention the core muscles are they supposed to be engaged at address and throughout the swing or completely ignore them as i do iam also a terrible golfer pls your thoughts are very important in this matter tks

Opening his hips at the start and pulling his right arm behind him? No! You can find Rory describing his split arm drill where he says he likes it because it keeps his right arm "in front of him".
