The guitar he is using there appears to have something 'extra' on it, just before he plays the last few notes he seems to move something on the guitar and it alters the sound, it looks like he slides up a control just above the strings with his (right) strum hand?

saw Rory in 1973 opening up for Deep Purple,, he absolutely stole the show that night driving the crowd into a frenzy making it difficult for DP. before the show I had never heard of Rory but the next day i went and bought everything he had out and became a fan for life.

I heard and saw him "live" in teh 1970s on German TV's "Rockpalast" when he played at the Gruga Halle in Essen. On Monday I took all my pocket money and bought all his LPs.

Rory used to hire Pete Townshend's Coral Sitar for session/studio work. This sitar was bought in the States for $1,500, enabling Rory to replicate this wonderful sound live. Put an instrument in Rory's hands and he'd show you how to play it, an amazing artist. Thanks for sharing.

I saw a concert in Montreux in the 70's, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and TASTE ! I was so impressed by these tree guys that I felt that the two other bands couldn't make it compared to Taste. They were much more powerful than the others. I became a fan of Taste since then. RIP !
