Rosé gold black diamonds

In the video you see Niels van Dooren setting 16 black diamonds each measuring 1.3mm. The Ring is rosé gold and was first printed on a Form2 printer and later casted.

Great video . Could you have created the beads with the form 2 instead of drilling them ? Is the casting vacuum or centrifugal ? It looks perfect

I prefer measuring it out by hand. I think designing pre-setting messes up the 'tight' lines =) And I'm not a big fan of the the casted pre-set-prongs.

Herman, in a circle you can always set the diamonds as close as possible next to each other. That is what I am trying =) to do in this video. the 1.33mm on the divider is the size for the black diamonds. I draw a circle in start measuring out. If I end the last mark and it doesn't fit nice next to the beginning dot I continue marking dots, but make sure I have a smaller 'diameter' in the circle. this way at 3:24 you can see that i make small 'C' shapes instead of dots. His will help you align the final dot with the original dots.

Jose, take a look at my answer below =) should solve your question. If not. than take a blank piece of flat metal. Draw a circle on i it and try to create marks for yourself. When you end... just continue but with a 'slightly' smaller/imaginary circle and make small lines instead of dots. make sure you move it closer to the original dots every time you mark. This eventually will align your second circle of marks with the original circle of marks.
