Yes, ON THE GROUND actually refers to "staying grounded". In an interview Rosé explained the song, saying that "We all have dreams, desire to be more successful and reach our goals. Maybe what we're chasing for isn't necessarily up there at the top, maybe what we truly need is already in our hands, right here on the ground." The lyrics talk about the fragility of success ("What goes up, must come down", "You're running out of time") and the images actually mirror her state of mind. The whole world (her fame) is crashing and burning around her but she's oblivious to it because it means nothing to her. The lyrics also say that she misses someone and thinks about them every day and every night. She is not talking about a boyfriend or a girlfriend, she is talking about her old self. The sets are also mostly darker tones until the end of the song, when she revisits the house where she grew up. She sees her younger "pre-fame" self, throwing roses and smiling, writing her stage name "Rosé" on the mirror (which changes to "Roseanne", her real name.) Rosé reconnects with herself, getting "grounded" in what's really important, and we see her smile for the first time. The color palette changes to pinks and whites and she can now truly grasp her fame and ascend to her potential, as she now knows what's really important in her life. Rosé was born in Auckland, New Zealand then moved to Melbourne, Australia when she was eight. At sixteen she auditioned for YG Entertainment when they held auditions in Sydney and was the only one chosen, beating out 700 other auditions. In their recent Netflix documentary BLACKPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY she discussed the fact that playing music on her guitar and singing was the only time when everything "made sense" to her, and now that they're big she doesn't have time anymore, so she sometimes stays up through the night in their studio so she can relax and be alone with her music.

I believe that the choppy effect in the limo was done by shooting at a very low frame rate, maybe 20% of normal speed, which gives a jumping, stuttering effect.
