It’s funny how you can hear a song, you hear the lyrics, you process what’s being said, but it stops there, then someone else does that same song, same lyrics, just a different take and it suddenly went from one take, to a totally different thing. I literally paused before typing “thing” because I just, didn’t even know what to say what “it” was, but man, Ronnie somehow did that. Such a solid talent. Beyond great.

I know this song well. Lyrics have been memorized since it came out. But… I never processed this songs depth before. I feel like Ronnie’s intensity just removed blinders that I didn’t know I had on. Weird feeling.

The original actually came out 23 years ago! 2000... That song always gets me pumped up and many don't actually pay the attention to the deep heavy lyrics. However, You listed to Ronnie's version which gives so much more depth to the lyrics as you say. I adore this version so much and Ronnie's done so well compared to his original Escape the Fate days. He just grows more and more understanding music on a completely different level.

This is why Ronnie is the best. Sings, screams, raps, writes most of his lyrics, writes a lot of his own music. He’s rightfully gotten a lot more attention the last couple of years but the man has been killing it since 2006!

I LOVE how when everything is crumbling down and he's screaming "I'M CRYIN'" and then suddenly....everything, including Ronnie, is still...that moment of pause to harness everything inside, to turn it around, and then he just cuts loose and remakes his world! Killer visual to go with an Epic Swell in the music and power of Ronnies vocals. Once again, he delivers an Artfully crafted Experience. Great Job, Metalhead.

I love this redefined version. The Papa Roach version that came out in 2000 had me feeling like an angry teen rebelling against their parents. This version takes me to a middle aged person who is now literally on the edge and has nothing left and is begging for help before they go over into the abyss.

This song was an amazing reimagining! I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since it came out! The video was a direct continuation to Watch the World Burn… My interpretation is that Ronnie was the only person left after lighting the world on fire, and the grey city was the wasteland in the aftermath! This song and the lyrics were about reflecting on what he had done and how he handled everything… he wasn’t/isn’t alright, and he put the world back together after realizing he was wrong… his last resort was to set the world on fire, and he regretted it, so he put it back… that is why the final imagery was the exact opposite of WTWB… and some have said that the world was “Falling in Reverse” when it was being put back together. Also, with how you handle reactions, I would love to see you react to Dax - To be a Man, if you haven’t done so already!

Love your reaction, had to giggle out loud when you said unicorn farts. This imagery in this video hits me hard, there are times that I feel like I am (like those buildings) caving and crashing and everything around me is flying apart, but then I look around and everything looks fine, the crisis and turmoil is solely my crisis, very cool how the buildings 'fell in reverse' there at the end. There is a video of Ronnie playing the song for Jacoby before it was released, it is a wonderful video.

I sat with my anger long enough until she told me her real name was grief. C.S. Lewis Wow - Ronny went even deeper with the song …how can a cover sound more like an original than the original?? 😂 no disrespect - I LOVE Papa Roach and the original. Probably listened to it 1.000.000 times in my life. But that was insane 🤯 I love both versions, cause if you go through something like that, you can relate to the anger AND the sadness

Goosebumps...... just.... goosebumps...... And quite a few tears.... 😭 The original song, came out at a godsend moment for me. I was dealing with a relapse (for lack of a better term to use) of a medical issue in my late teens that had my lungs randomly collapsing. Was in a really dark place due to the constant collapses + scars from surgeries..... the Original is what kept me from staying down and gave me the strength to claw my way back out of that pit. THIS is how i felt when i heard the original.. THIS is what i was hearing when i heard that original song... its what gave me the courage to not back down and give up. Yes i was 'head-banging' to the original (i even do the same to this version, just at a more sedated pace), but the feelings THIS song give.. are what i was dealing with at that moment... 5:58 = that moment when i was at my lowest during those days, literally teetering on a knife-edge ...... 6:03 + is what this song, in its original form, did for me.

I am in Australia so we didn't get much music from US from Papa Roach or many others. I have listened to it and then watched this clip several times. Because as soon as I saw Ronnie had dropped this video I had to watch immediately. One thing with Ronnie is it is always very personal and it can be heartbreaking but for some of us, at least for me, feel less alone when I am in my rabbit hole. All the music I love comes from vocals and lyrics and what Ronnie has sone with this song is so raw and feels so personal. To me. To others, To him. Seriously love Ronnie and FIR. In the previous video "Let the world burn" the entire world goes up in flames in the end, it is a similar shot as here but destroying the earth. I see this video now as a continuation. Everything is in ruins after he let the world burn. He seems to be the only one left. Towards the end the destruction starts reversing, back to to the point where the world went into flames. I see this as himself healing and letting the world recover with him. It is beautiful story telling over more than one video, the like of which I have so far only seen with NF.

Loved the reaction! 😄 For more like this you can check “the drug in me is reimagined” and “I’m not a vampire revamped” Also for reference could see the original versions of both songs before 😄🙌🏻

Okay so I just started the video so I don't know if this is adressed later on but before I forget about it, Papa roach's version definitely didn't just come out 13 years ago. I feel like it's got to be maybe 23 years. I could be super wrong but only 13 years does not feel right to me. Further...so I just finished it and I am in tears. This managed to really bring the sadness and desperation of the song's message to the fore in a way that the original banger always kinda drowned out. I'm not that deep in despair but I have a lot going on and have felt pretty out of control and lost lately. The vision of the city disintegrating around him really hit me. I love that even when belting the guttural plea for anything to change, we see the city reassembling to show that maybe even at our lowest point, things may be coming back together in a way that we are totally unaware of.

you are correct this is not a cover. This puts this song in a whole different. I don’t even know how to finish that it’s completely different and it’s dark but it’s so fucking God. last night my time around 10:30 PM it just started blowing up on TikTok

I have a theory, I believe this song the way he made it reimagined it is actually a part 2 to watch the world burn the reason why is because in watch the world burn he gets rid of all the haters. In this video he portrays the same character, but in the process of cleansing the world of all the haters he whines up destroying everything including all the people that hate them so now he's lonely and he wants to end it himself so what I see at the end where the world is healed back from the flames and the destruction is the reverse side of that character. It's just a theory and I hope it Sparks conversation and thought.
