Not a bad comparison. Won't have the same impact, like Trent Reznor saying it was Johnny's song now, but it has the same way of changing the emotions and feelings of the song with the same lyrics. The original Last Resort, you could feel the frustration and angst of being at the edge. Ronnie brought forth the sorrow and utter desperation

This version definitely gave me a different and new perspective on the original. And in my opinion this is a badass tribute to the original. Ronnie hit this one out of the park so far it's unreal. This version makes the hairs on my arm stand up everytime I listen to it. The boys in Papa Roach are definitely proud I'm sure 🤘

He only performed it, he didn't actually rework it or change anything himself. Same with the last 2 reimagined versions. He still performed it beautifully but we should really be praising a guy named sean rooney who did all the composing and reworking of the 3 songs.

I'm starting to lose count of how many reactions to this song I've heard in the last 2 days. 7? 8? I'm sure I could find several more without effort. And for good reason, it's a masterpiece of a performance, Reimagining and slowing down this very well known song. The band must have one of the best world building teams around for their videos. (side note, I don't think I've mentioned it on your channel yet, but I was in a car crash a week ago, and now I'm stuck at home with a broken ankle.)

"Never realised how sad this song was" Song is literally called _Last Resort_ I often get young teens singing "cut my life into pieces this is my last resort" at me because, despite being 30, I still rock the snakebites, eyeliner, and bangs over 1 eye

@@ronaldov09 I mean, it was one of my go to songs in the background when I used to self harm, so personally I always paid pretty close attention to the lyrics, but I can kinda see what you mean because a lot of people would just mosh out to it because of it's upbeat tempo. This version is beautiful though don't get me wrong.

Goosebumps...... just.... goosebumps...... And quite a few tears.... 😭 The original song, came out at a godsend moment for me. I was dealing with a relapse (for lack of a better term to use) of a medical issue in my late teens that had my lungs randomly collapsing. Was in a really dark place due to the constant collapses + scars from surgeries..... the Original is what kept me from staying down and clawed my way back out of that pit. THIS is how i felt when i heard the original.. THIS is what i was hearing when i heard that original song... its what gave me the courage to not back down and give up. Yes i was 'head-banging' to the origional (i even do the same to this version, just at a more sedated pace), but the feelings THIS song give.. are what i was dealing with at that moment...

"I don't know if I want to mosh, or cry, or mosh while crying, and then punch someone in the fucking face." This is why I fucking love these reactions of yours. Empaths as we are @AileenSenpai, this song really was a trip. Who knew it was so sad. I don't know if you take requests from the comments but if you liked this there is a cover of Eminem's "Loose Yourself" where the singer turned it into a country rock anthem. YOU NEED TO HEAR THAT!

I got misty eyed the first 20 times I heard this song. I must have heard this song over 60 times between yesterday and today. I still want to hear it again. I looked up the lyrics for the original a few years ago, and it changed my perspective on it a little bit. I always knew this song was about suicide because that was something I latched onto the first time I heard it. The original is one of the reasons I haven't taken my own life. It let me know I wasn't the only one going through what I was going through. However, I didn't realize how much of a story it told until I looked up the lyrics. Hearing Ronnie's version now elevated that emotion even more. Keep it metal. \m/

As an Australian, I had never heard the original version, let alone the name of the band who did it back in the day. It wasn’t a big hit here and no one I know has ever heard of it. So I don’t have the same emotional and nostalgic feel for the original that so many of you have. I did go and listen to Papa Roach after hearing this, and what a difference. So fast, so heavy, so full of guitars, just completely different. Ronnie has done something that he is a genius at, his brain comes up with these brilliant ideas. I am in love with his musical brain, always something different and unbelievably creative. Wish my brain was like that.

I have been a Papa Roach Fan since i can remember really. I am from germany and Last Resort was the first song we got to hear over here. My Stepdad died earlier this year and just because of him i was able to see Papa Roach live in Concert a few times here in Cologne. But seriously, what Ronny did here is absolutely crazy. I love it and every Papa Roach fan should at least give it a chance to sink in. I can't help but imagine the original song in my head while listening to him but come on, his voice is incredible and this whole interpretion of last resort is just amazing.
