Is this the most complete recording? Suites are distortions. I heard some of the vocal items many years ago. Despite many nice images we only want disturbing ones from fact. I think the sight of his hair falling out, him wearing a wig & the taking of mercury? were true. I saw the trilogy of films "Mit meinen heissenTranen" again recently. Great portrayal of the doomed genius (alas! dead from syphilis at thirty-two). Surely he might have given the illness to his adolescent housekeeper, though they were clothed on the bed?
