Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤😊❤❤

I'm an 80's guy and I sing along with the 80's songs when they come up in the rotation on our muzak at work. Today (yes, the warehouse was open on the 4th of July) a coworker asked me if I liked Johnny Cash. I said of course, who doesn't. He asked me to sing a Johnny Cash song. I started singing this. He and three other people said I fucking nailed it. Occasionally, I think I'm a pretty good singer. Like when there's Rock Band at a party and I'm the one who sings when we beat the hard songs.

This is one of my favorite country songs, no matter who sings it, Johnny or Rosanne, or even the version where father and daughter sing this song together, its just a great song. And another thing about great artist like Johnny Cash, he was a humble man, no one else introduced himself when he came on stage, Saying "Hi I'm Johnny Cash" no one else did that but Johnny even tho he didn't need and introduction, and he and the other greats would introduce their band members when they had solos.

That's why Johnny's a great guy, he was always humble. Gives credit to Jim Soldi there on the guitar, great guitar playing. The song is a peak into the life of an entertainer. Guy who loves what he's doing. So important in life. The line in the song about girls selling their jewelry just so they could watch their favorite musician in concert is priceless. "All the girls..from 9 to 90..." that's a lyric. The song tells a story, makes you want to listen and has a great melody. Easily one of my favorite Cash songs. Such simplicity, good ole country nature to it and the live performance here is a gem. There is something magical that happens when listening to Cash.

I don't know how this "heros" come to be. this guy was on drugs as an adult and honestly, can barely carry a tune, OMG if you think this guy can actually sing, youmust also like rock. :*

@Mary LaFLeur, if you do not like Johnny Cash why did you bother to stop here? You are welcome to your opinion and it makes no difference as there are MILLIONS of us in the USA and around the world who are fans and love Johnny Cash, his music and yes, the way he sang. He had many faults, and he worked throughout his life to overcome them - when he fell he got up and tried again - at heart he was a good, kind person, and he was a musical and creative genius who has left us an extensive, diverse, wonderful music legacy to enjoy in perpetuity!!

Awesome song. Jim Solee is a great guitarist, his playing really makes this song! I havent heard anyone play along to this song as well as he does!

I've been trying to remember what was playing every other tune, pretty sure it was Patsy Kline and "Crazy!" One would play, then the other, over and over. We had twenty minutes in the morning for a break, couple hundred guys, wet smelly uniforms coming out of the cold and into the packed snack bar, hot chocolate and a honey bun. Snack of MPs everywhere.

True that, however, his lovely daughter Roseanne Cash carries on his legacy very nicely. Check out her version of this very song, if you have any doubts, and her lovely voice truly does this great Johnny Cash song justice.
