Oh, my heart was braking walking through your magical, enchanting garden. At 74, I just moved from my home of 52 years to be close to my son and family. I loved and cherished my garden all that time. I saw the house was just flipped and my entire garden is now gone. What a heart break. Now I am in So. California in a very hot climate. So my gardening challenges are just beginning. But, I guess, at this season of life, its good to have new hobbies and challenges . I probably needed the move to spark some new ideas and creative juices flowing, I am looking to all the exquisite gardens and your journey in this new home.

That is so sad. I just left a beautiful garden i built over 10 years. Was on xeriscape tour. I would hope the owner would allow me to come dig up plants for my son's yard which I am now landscaping from scratch 😮

Thank you for sharing your garden with us over the years. I bought my house a few years ago. My small yard was a completely blank slate and I was so intimidated to start gardening. Your KZbin channel was not only an inspiration, it was helpful as well. It was especially helpful to watch a Midwest gardener. My flower garden is still small, but it's growing every year! I’ve missed you! I too have moved, we’ve sold our country home and bought a very small house in town due to age and health issues. The new yard has nothing! Not even one tree! But it does butt up to a very large woods, in fact around here it’s considered a mountain. My plans are to add a few things, learning the new terrain as I go. The ground is mostly sandy and not at all fertile like our last home of 30 years. I’ll definitely be tuning in to watch as the new gardens grow!

I loved visiting your previous garden, but know that change is inevitable in our lives. I look forward to seeing what you create in your new garden. My husband and I garden in zone 7a (Maryland) on 1.5 acres. We just retired and know that there will come a time that we will want (or need!) to downsize. We have considered retiring nearer our daughter and son-in-law who live in a suburb of St. Paul. We lived for over 10 years in Minneapolis and Rochester when we were first married and love the Twin Cities (not so much the weather). Always enjoyed doing the Tangletown Garden garden walk in July. This is bittersweet news- I have adored your videos for years now, they have been a huge inspiration for me! I am so excited for you and your husband though, sometimes a big change like that can be a wonderful thing. And with how talented you are, I just know your new garden will be just as spectacular as the old one. You really gave me the courage to build my own stone pathways, and after years of searching Canadian garden centers, last spring I finally found someone who was selling Irish Moss! It was a dream come true last summer to watch it spread through the stone path, I can't wait to add more of it to our garden this year. It really is a special element in any garden. Steve and I are having fun lots of fun with our new place. But, to manage your expectations, I will not be as ambitious with this front-yard garden as I was with our old garden. This year, we're planning on doing one bed (maybe two). Greetings neighbor! I do plan on slowly transforming the beds in our front garden to include more grasses and perennials, with Prairie as my theme. I think it might be less ambitious than you may be thinking, although who knows? We now live in Plymouth and love it.
