Back years ago when I was doing some volunteer maintenance work for a Boy Scout camp, one of the staff mentioned problems with tools "Walking off" or being found rusted up left in the woods. I suggested we spraypaint all the handles a bright pink, I think we used a flourescent pink. Tools suddenly stopped walking off, and tools were no longer dropped and left in the woods. 25 bucks of spraypaint solved the problem. As I said back then, who wants a bright pink tool? To be honest though, I think the bigger issue was tools being dropped in the woods, and dark handles would blend in making them hard to find.

My tool was recovered, (it was actually my grandfather's Eiffel PlierWrench, which is why I was so heated) as well as a few others from the shop that dude had "borrowed" that hadn't been noticed until the accident.... He got fired (second time he'd done this crap, first time getting caught).... I got a "stern talking to" from the boss telling me to never "drop" a bench grinder near him again (which was pretty easy, considering, he'd already been fired after we found our tools).... and I had to replace both the wheels on the grinder out of pocket... Those of you who have Served like me Know what a Barracks thief could get, we were good at handling our own! A bar of soap in a sock sends a powerful message! Especially if the thief is on the top bunk and 4 guys grab the wool blanket corners to hold it down. I miss the Wall to Wall Counseling’s effectual technique, no matter what you never forget what lessons were provided, and no amount of paperwork can replace the immediate impact on that SOB to correct the problem. I hope that the kids today could understand that the world could use a lot less whiners, and a whole lot more Doers! I gradually had to put away my Wall to Wall Counseling’s Hand book, but not before I became a victim of the stupidity of the kinder friendlier Army Doctrines. A good go around behind the wood shed with out Rank on did wonders for the leadership too! Poor management was not promoted! They got on the spot corrected! Some times publicly most of us did not have to! We had our NCO chain maintained in Good order and Discipline! Today’s kids going to War scares me to my bones! The Officer core is pitifully inept and is more concerned about early Promotion and Honor Graduation than what it actually takes to lead Soldiers. It would probably be better if the military didn’t have the distractions of political parties in their midst! Even so we all know how two faced people can be to get ahead! It’s poor leadership that has degraded not only our Military but the fact is that it has been done in civil society ( I cringe calling it that) for a long time. This piece of advice I give to all who will heed it! As a Supply NCO, As a Medical Logistics NCO, as a Recruiting NCO (I was to prone to Honestly do that Job for long) and A heavy Junk Mechanic ! It is this! DON’T STEAL, THE GOVERNMENT HATES COMPETITION! BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTOR! Your poor management decisions is on your own shoulders don’t blame others! A few weeks later we were working on hanging speakers in one of the rooms and saw the electricians working in there on a ladder that looked identical to our missing one. I waited for them to go to lunch, walked over and made sure it was our ladder by checking for a mark that I had made underneath one of the rungs where it would be hard for a thief to see, and after confirming it was ours, threw their shit off the ladder and took it out of the building and locked it in our storage building. still missing our Milwaukee drill though.

Roscoe reminds so much of the old school foresters and lumberjack's that trained me.

Haha I grew up in a gin mill and I remember back in like 08ish I got on a site in upper NJ and that place was like the wild Wild West. I got into more fights there than I ever did in my bar. Haha it was great!!!!

The bossman don't need no idea what's going to happen. Ricky and Roscoe got this. Roscoe racked the slide, that round already got someone's name on it.

This brings back such fond memories of days of past lol Boss, Roscoe and Ricky are exactly how me and the crew used to handle things back in the oilfield roustabout (production site set up and maintenance) days where we practically battled other companies and crews damn near on a daily, especially when it came to tools and territory!! And shit would go from low end harmless practical jokes to violence real quick lmfao But if you had a good crew and boss that had your back then you would show them boys that this is a man's world!! Ain't no bumping gums down here in the south you either gonna catch these hands or catch this 36" ain't no in between round here 💯 😆 😂 🤣 #oilfieldtrash #slingingiron #runupgetdoneup #callthesehandscatchthesehands #fuckaroundandfindout #tryjesusdonttryme

That's part of what I liked about running wireline. The site boss had to write a big check to get us out there and always told his guys to "leave us the f**k alone" or he would take a week of their pay. Never had to worry about our tools leaving, even on long 18 hour jobs we could go sleep in the truck between runs and all the tools were exactly where we left them.

I was young once too the wrong tool, had dudes name on it. I was just eager to work so I didn't look it over. I was let off easy but never again did I NOT look to see if the tool was really mine. Haha. I vote for the old way tho with tool thieves!

Roscoe is speaking my language 😉 Ricky going tame with the tiger woods action and Bossman follows up with his own method. Get a Sparky to hook up their ignition to the steering wheel ⚡️

The next video should be the safetyman receiving and reply Email essentially saying “we stole your tools what you gonna do about it” And then he hast to go back to Roscoe and Ricky and say send them a message

As someone who read lemony snickett in 1st grade... yeah that's a reference to a series of unfortunate events. That's an obscure reference and i love it. 12 book series ✅ Movie ✅ Netflix series ✅

Now this is what I love to see, Even with all their usual bickering and arguing the boys can still come together and get s*** done when it really matters😅😅😅

I think it would have been funnier if Safety Man joined them at they end. Like Rosco says "And if they don't email you back or give us back the tools?" And Safety Man responds with "Then I guess I need to practice for the company baseball team," as he takes out a bat.

I just hope we don't find Roscoe in an interrogation room with bracelets on in part 2. He's so close to retirement to be playing target practice.

Surprised Roscoe wasn't going old school and just chopping hands. We've had a few thieves come through the ED after attempting to steal from older folks that 100% practice the older ways. Severed hands, maimed arms, etc. Some they made sure to contaminate the limb as well. Props, personally it's a homemade pvc hand canon that loads and fires a planter's peanuts tin worth of nails/bolts and fires within 20 seconds through most doors (or bodies.)
