A read is not always shade or shady. They were giving their honest critiques and feelings on how marcia did, same as the judges and fans of the show. And like Marcia said in this viewing party, a large part of her creative background includes receiving constructive criticism, at the very least recognizing the difference in usefulness between contextless conclusions like "didn't like" and constructive feedback.
