Rose Drawing / Hyperrealism Time-lapse

Hey everyone, just thought i’d change things up a bit and do a rose instead of an animal. This was a pretty quick one and pretty small compared to my normal sizes. I hope you all like it. feel free to leave any questions down below.

Really cool man, I’m just getting in to drawing, love the info and stuff. Just wondering if you could do a tute in transferring from reference to paper via grid? Mine always come out with way too much detail I think, then I can’t get the proper layers down etc

Wow, incredibly beautiful. The texture is velvety soft looking like a real rose. Have you ever tried your techniques in other mediums? Like colored pencil, pastels, or even paints of some sort?
