I just did my first with matte vinyl. I found corners are the most difficult to get smooth. Do them cold if possible, then heat after trimming. A relief may be necessary. Also, clean work area! One grain of dust underneath looks like Mt. Everest

About the wifi signal with wrapping - the signal lost is minimal, and it's only relevant with plastic laptops - if your laptop already has a metal casing, a chrome, or any other metallic vinyl, won't make a difference.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The film I'm using has a real chrome metal layer in it. This confuses the signals 9 out of 10 times. If I was using something else, then what you say is true.

@@CKWraps ah yeah, it may be different with chrome. dbrand has a skin called damascus that has (i think) aluminium in it, which they give warnings about, however they state that through testing, most devices that already have a metal casing will work, because their signals have been adjusted for that. You most definitely know better than me here though, so if you say I'm spouting bullshit, I'd take your word for it haha

I have some questions, when search on amazon Avery only propose samples that seem to be too little or 5 square feet that are too much according to what i really need (15,6 inches) so what do you recommend me to choose ? What is the heat you recommend not to damage the laptop and does it work with a hair dryer if we don't have heatgun ? Sorry for all these questions but hope it would help some if you answer me : )
