Brian, the way to merge onto heavy traffic is to inch forward slowly, someone will eventually stop. For blind intersections, do same inching, if you hear a honk, stop and let the vehicle pass and inch again...

Rose Hill and B Bassin are hectic as usual and that's their charm I think that was one of the very first KFC in Mauritius which opened in the 1980s What you saw is the genuine British Council office which used to host a library but now it's just for TOEFL exams and stuffs Right in front of the SPA where there were French flags is the French equivalent of the British Council which is the Institut Francais de Maurice and offers a wide array of DVDs, cool new books, magazines and newspapers... they also host events and art exhibitions There are indeed lots of quaint lil churches all over Rose Hill... Anglican, Adventist, Evangelical and of course Roman Catholic ones Rose Hill is my number 2 coolest city in Mauritius after Curepipe... Quatre Bornes is 3rd.
