Well, the reality is that you don’t know either of these women. Both women have integrity and have exemplified that during different times in life where they each fought for something bigger than them to benefit other women and justice. Calling Alyssa a “poser” and a “joke” to me indicates your bias toward Rose and possibly Shannen bc it’s clear that some of you don’t want to be objective regarding a set situation neither of us were present for with all sorts of conflicting stories. Rose ain’t crazy regarding the predator / sexual assault stories she’s told about Hollywood and she’s brave. The fest that producers can’t come up with a good reboot with such great source material and more interest than ever cause the fan base has only grown for the original, is a damn shame. It’s a magical world. They can create whatever they like and magically retcon it too. They went back in time to prevent Prue’s death and inadvertently killed Phoebe. They fucked up the balance of good and evil in the process and that sets up the plot and explains why they can’t risk undoing Phoebs / Prue swap. If they hadn’t rushed a half-cocked remake it’d still be on TV.

I love all four of them for their magical work on Charmed. The show is timeless, touching and iconic. Regardless of any beef. I do however believe Alyssa when she said yrs ago that being on set “felt like high school.” Even though Holly disputed it, she and Shannen were best friends even prior to filming and Shannen and Alyssa obviously didn’t get along so I can imagine there being truth to that. I don’t think any of us will ever know what happened. I do think it’s unfortunately that dear Shannen passed without them getting together to bury any hatchets and communicate face to face abt what happened bc of possibly miscommunication but it is what it is. Now as I look back at Charmed, and before and after Shannon left. The first 3 seasons, Prue walked in first and center, thought of the plans and figured everything out. She claims she was fired cause Alyssa wanted to be FIRST. Then you watch Charmed after Shannon’s departure, and instead of Piper being the front and center and the eldest who figure things, but nope. For the record: Shannen was “ difficult to work with” because Aaron spelling and the show runners could not take constructive criticism! She would give her feedback on a script and give her thoughts on it on how her character would and should act. Shannen was only difficult due to creative differences. She works really hard and worked 14-18 hour days (confirmed by Sarah Michelle Gellar) All of the girls fought to have more say in what they think their characters should be! Macy reminds me a lot of Prue. Maggie and Phoebe are similar but I have a hard time finding similarities in Piper and Mel, other than their powers. They were all toxic the only exclusion really being Holly Marie combs. All three of the others got a little (by a little I mean a lot) carried away and their success went to their heads. Shannon was first on a power trip, closely followed by Alyssa hence one had to go, and unfortunately Alyssa’s rating were higher as she was getting all the male attention at that time. I think it’s sad to see just how lost/destroyed rose has gone for on the bright young actress with huge potential. Yes she experienced some negative male attention withoin the industry but as ‘me too’ proved she was not alone. The sad difference is she has allowed it to completely warp who she is and made her into the angry negative person she became. She speaks of being strong and powerful whilst simultaneously destroying her own chances at joy/ happiness. So sad really, glad she got to say what she felt she needed to with me too but it’s time to move forward and finally be satisfied at what she has achieved, move forward and stop allowing the past to rule her. It sounds to me like she is very upset at Alyssa for amping up the Me Too movement as a form of PR, while she speaks on it as a survivor trying to help others.
