The beauty of good archtops played acoustically is too often overshadowed by their electric brothers, and gets forgotten. A sound that's different from both electric guitars and traditional acoustic guitars, but no less beautiful than either, just distinct! It's clear from the way you play it, that you appreciate and adore the beautiful tone that your instrument produces. Well, you and me both, it sounds lovely! Thank you for sharing it with us! ありがとう!

Yuji, I cannot understand a word of Japanese, but I understand two musicians talking about the key of the song and having fun while doing a great job of playing it! You and Asaba are an inspiration. This may be my very favorite video so far. 😀👏

Whats the pickup arrangement on Yuji's guitar? Or is it a directional mic? It sounds excellent!
@old-fashionedmusic660613 күн бұрын
@@sigourneyhacks i think two microphones. You can see them on the video, one is ear trumpet labs capturing our talking and slightly our acoustic sound and dynamic microphone capturing only my acoustic guitar. Thanks!

Looks to me like a a Sumi archtop, not a Gibson. Is he still building guitars?
