I wonder how much of the ease of this first month is because (I’m guessing) you are taking on more equal roles than often happens in heterosexual relationships. I know that is a total stereotype but it does play out in most of the het parents I know. Would love to hear you talk one day about division of parenting tasks and taking initiative for getting certain things done.

Yeah I watch a lot of pregnancy content because Im curious cause I will never have one lol, and I always notice that in the hetero couples mom is always destroyed and doing everything and dad barely does anything. There is some exceptions like Sierra schultzzie and her husband Stephen, you can tell they share the chores in general and care most about the other and giving them a break and they are both super happy! I understand its difference if one or both parents work outside the home but I still can see that a lot of dads arent doing their part. Its really sad.

Seeing Rosie with Ziggy at the end was so beautiful to watch. My wife and I are going on our 3rd try to get pregnant and I'm scared that could take many tries, but seeing this video and seeing the happiness in your eyes when you talk about Ziggy convinced me that I don't care how long it takes because we're not giving up until we have our own bundle of joy.

I think you guys just got lucky with your kid. Some babies are harder than others. I have the best example of this in the form of two brothers. My friend's first child was a dream as a newborn, like Ziggy, only problem was finding out he had a lot of food of allergies. But even as tiny thing, he barely cried, learned to self-soothe quickly, and was the easiest baby to be around. Her second baby was fussy, cranky, wouldn't sleep, etc. He wasn't a terror, but boy, he was a struggle.
