Rosemary Ellen Guiley (prolific paranormal author) was filmed by Barry Conrad in 2002 at Point Pleasant, West Virginia during the Mothman Festival. She offers some theories as to the origins and nature of this strange creature sighted in 1966-67.

Hmm...she speaks of fear/anxiety possibly being part of the cause of the bridge collapse...well, thinking from a paranormal perspective...if black magic is real, would a bridge collapse and those deaths that happened be considered a sort of offering in order to open a portal allowing further paranormal entities into our dimension/our world from where Mothman came from? Is it possible Mothman was like summoned or something in order to build this tension in that area...? It sounds so crazy.
