Hey Eric. You're a great player and I say with all due respect- I think in 37:40 you continuously overlooked Qc4 which threatens # and to take whatever piece lands on d4. it also bolstered up the knight attacking e6/f7 later in the continuation. Unless this was a stream-snipe bait... in that case, well played!

41:25 what blacks can do, if you go Kn f7? If he takes with Kn, you mate with Queen. If ge don't, you take Rock or Kn.

In game 2, Eric talks about "a funny line" with his trademark "Oh, no, my queen" line. Even without Bxd4, couldn't he achieve the same with Ng5? I was looking at that before he mentioned going through d4. ... Never mind, he just saw it and played it. I would have played O-O on move 12 rather than playing Ne6+. It seemed better to me, so I checked with Stockfish, which agreed. Nc3 was its top choice, though.

9:55 Remarkably the regularly relaxed and reserved Rosen respectfully revokes resub recitation. A Reminder for retinue to resist ruffling the ruminations of a Rosen replete with resolve to raise his rapid rating to a new record!

Can someone help me out? I'm fairly new to online chess and these chess engines. I noted when Eric was doing the analysis on game 1, his move 11 was flagged as an inaccuracy. However, the suggested move of e4 does not show up in the Stockfish analysis at the top. Where does e4 come from, then? Also, I understand that inaccuracies, mistakes, and blunders are progressively worse moves according to the analysis, but are the distinctions among them strictly a matter of centipawn losses, or are there other criteria?
@lmabacus4046 ай бұрын
When there are several moves that are roughly the best, the suggested move can change depending on how deep the engine searches (though I'm a bit surprised that e4 isn't in the top three, as it was always in the top 2 when I tried it). As for inaccuracies/mistakes/blunders, someone checked the source code and it's down to win probability changes, not centipawn loss. So maybe something like 10%/20%/40% shift in win probability. You don't want to do pure centipawn loss, as the difference between 0.0 and 3.0 is massive, whereas the difference between 7.0 and 10.0 is minimal as it's winning for white regardless.
