Thank you for showing and walking us through your thought process when playing these games! you're not the first to do this beginner->master speedrun, but you're my favorite to watch. I swear the most difficult part is just knowing all the names of all the openings, variations, traps and everything. Everything is refined to a point that every single correct move will result in another named move. It's so crazy.
@WildernesSam
@WildernesSam 7 ай бұрын
Yeah but most of us play at a level that it doesnt matter. Just learn an opening for white and black and you are good to go. These patterns and traps etc, come along naturally as you play and improve. Leave this stuff to the Higher rated masters that do engine prep for several moves in several variations. We ball under 2000

I'm addicted to this series more than GOT, Breaking Bad, Fargo and the like. You get my drift! :P Perhaps let's also see how long you stay undefeated though. Cuz you'll discuss options for like over two minutes :D Now the lessons and tips are 100% amazing and paramount, I vote you keep us all rooting and enthralled with an undefeated record on this road to achieve Master with us all. As that'll be the cherry on top and superb tour de force entertainment for us.. all while learning. Winning! Oh and I second, you're def the Bob Ross of chess!

This is such a great series. Loving how you are demonstrating fundamentals appropriate to the opponent's level of play rather than playing dubious aggro lines (even though you could probably make fast work of the lower end of the rating ladder that way).

Great vid as always! As a 1. d4 player I'd love to see you mix that in at some point. Maybe once your rating is high enough that your opponent will know what they're doing in a queen's pawn game.

When I'm playing I talk out loud when i'm thinking kinda like him, but then when I look at the time it's like DUDE you've been thinking for 3 minutes!!!!!!! With Eric he's like think talking (yes that's a thing), jumping over to the explore screen showing what if's, drinking tea, making cookies, I think one time left the game (WHILE IT WAS HIS MOVE) went out and washed his car and came back and only like 2 minutes had passed......WTH 🤣😂😅😆

Idk why but in so many of these speed runs when you were in the middle game of game 2 that you moved your knight to the rim to attack the bishop in the center, so many players move their bishop back for some reason but it is still under attack from the knight & when it's taken they get stuck with double pawns. Idk why they don't just leave their bishop there & move something else
