This video is about a short and easy hike from Gschwandenmadt to Schwarzwaldalp in Switzerland near Meiringen. It's a leisurely hike with little incline that will make the heart of any nature lover beat faster. The historic saw on the Schwarzwaldalp is worth a visit and if you want to hike even more, you can also go up to the Grossen Scheidegg - or you can comfortably take the post bus!

The old watermill, and especially the Restaurant with it's garden are maybe the most beautifull situated in Beo that I know of. Been there multiple times, with our dogs cooling off in the shady cool grass. BUT, the secret waterfall I never knew of!, thx for the tip, it make's that place even more majestic than it already is.

Another wonderful hike. I recognized the lake right away. The wooden statues are beautiful. I often wonder if you take a large piece of wood, and decide you are going to carve that out of the wood.. And then you start carving and something else is created. That wood is a mystery of what is hidden.

I did that once with Clay. I thought I was going to make an ashtray. So I started fooling with the clay and molding it and when I was finished it was a statue. And a mentor of mine asked me who is the statue and right away I said Moses. It’s just one of those mysteries.

Ah, der Zopf! I always called them Challah, the Jewish bread… Yum! Wenn man der nicht aufessen kann, kann man am nächsten Tag French Toast machen. Still sinful, aber sehr lecker. When I left CH, it was already mid June and there was barely any snow on the Glarus. Sad… It’s always reassuring to see white mountaintops ❤
