Bullshit. If she knew Cosby was harassing women why did she agree to have him on her show?? And more than once! And she sure kept her mouth shut about him all those years. I loved his shows since I was a kid. But there was something 'off' about him. And just because a few of the women have gotten their story out and can start healing, there r so many more that won't get that opportunity. To think it wasn't even half the women who charged him that he is in jail for. That kind of slime and corruption had to have had high authority consent. To be able to still be around the public after so many stories came out. He was allowed to have a huge party right before imprisonment. Huh? What vile criminal gets to do that? And there was hugging and cheery faces, sick, all of them.

That was not Rosie’s place to say anything. I’m sure all celebrities, all talk show host, all entertainers know stories or hear stories but they don’t repeat them. The point of Rosie’s story here is that she tried to talk about bill Cosby on “The View” when his legal troubles started but Whoopi Goldberg (and others?) didn’t want to talk about bill Cosby or even believe the accusations about Bill Cosby. My question is: did Rosie have Bill Cosby on again after that incident? If so, then your point is well taken. But we don’t know because this host did not have the intelligence to ask Rosie that question.

I didn’t know much about the LGBTQ community years ago -my name is Gay and I was raised in large part in San Francisco: I’m a slow-study- when there was pushback against Rosie adopting And I’ll never forget she said something to the effect “these children will not be adopted unless we {she and her partner} adopt them; they will be loved, that’s all that matters”. She said something much more eloquent and Rosie-ish, And I had a paradigm shift about adopting “unadoptable children “ and LGBTQ people who were at that time called gay doing it and how she cared so deeply for those who had no-one In the end, all that matters is you love Rosie has had some real bad situations but I adore her outspokenness, authenticity, craftiness, never giving up on her children or herself, her brashness especially with Monster Trump! 💚☮️

About 15 years ago when Rosie used to respond to fans on her website (not sure if she still does it), I had just found out my daughter was sexually abused by an older female friend (both in their teens at the time). She was in hospital for attempted suicide due to it and I was quite distraught one night and needed to just talk about it so I wrote about it on Rosie’s website. Seems odd now, but I had been close friends with the perpetrator’s mother for many years and they had shut me down and cut me off from mutual friends so my support network was in tatters, and I could just be anonymous on Rosie’s site. Rosie answered me and said that my daughter was probably secretly gay and enjoyed it. I was really shocked by her response. It was completely insensitive and suited her own bias. My daughter is now nearing thirty and the perpetrator has since admitted she did it, and her and the family have apologised, but my daughter still wears the scars of it to this day. My story isn’t about homosexuality - it is about abuse. My daughter and I would have had the same reaction if it had been perpetrated by a man. Rosie cannot he trusted to stand up for victims

Good Golly, Miss Lolly Thankyou for sharing that. It seems sooner or later true colors show out. Those people who didn’t support you were not true friends. No matter how painful, it’s better to find out the truth sooner than later. They did you a favor by cutting the ties for you. I hope you & your daughter are doing better now. It’s a funny thing but I always had a distaste for Cosby when he was very popular. Never cared that much for Rosie either. I think her reply to you was abhorrent. Makes one wonder about her personal ethics. Just My 2 cents. For what it’s worth.

Thank you for sharing your daughter’s and your story. It must have been horrible for you to see those written words from Rosie. I’m sorry you went through that at a time you needed someone to hear your pain. God bless you and your daughter.

I'm so, so sorry. Our friends are the people we feel we can trust and what happened to your daughter was the ultimate violation. May your daughter find happiness and healing. As far as what Rosie said, not that my experiences compares to your daughter's, but I've been stalked twice by men and once by another woman, and people's reactions were infuriating. Aren't you flattered? They're probably harmless. Etc. Shame on Rosie.

There is no way someone is going to try to school Bill Cosby about what is and isn't appropriate behavior back then. Sorry, doesn't sound believable.

Doesn't occur to Rosie that she was basically lying to the audience when she pretended not to know who the mystery guests were.
