When indoors, you won’t have to worry as much about pests but Black Spot (a type of fungal disease) can occur. An easy way to treat this is by using a mixture of baking soda, liquid soap, and warm water (about 1 teaspoon of each to a few cups of lukewarm water). A powdery mildew can also form on the leaves, which can be easily fixed by providing more air circulation. Rosier Miniature Rose Take #2 😂
🥀
But seriously, other than aloe, Roses and I do not mix. This time I am DETERMINED to make this one thrive. After trial and error with Rosalita (RIP) I thinkkkkk I might have gotten it figured out.
🥀
Roses need A LOT OF LIGHT - preferably direct sun. However, now that a majority of houseplants are being brought indoors a south window will be the ideal spot. Make sure to consistently turn them for a full and luscious plant. If let outdoors, they are hardy from zones 5 to 9 (or 10, I forget) - which is hardier than most rose bushes.
🥀
For soil, I’d suggest a peat moss based variety - you’ll notice that most that you buy from a nursery are in this type of mixture.
🥀
Rosier Mini Roses do prefer their soil to stay moist but not wet. This could be where I messed up, because I foolishly kept it in the foil the grocery store had it in - which caused it to remain too wet and rotted their already shallow root system.
🥀
🥀
When it comes to fertilizing, do it sparsely during the winter and more often during the spring and summer months. They do have rose specific fertilizers which makes feeding so much easier.
🥀
Tip, there are certain types of miniature rose plants that do not exactly stay miniature. Some can stay “small,” or around 8-12 inches tall and wide but there are other varieties that can grow up to 7 or 8 feet if given the proper care and room.
🥀
Let me know what your experience with Rosier Miniature Roses are.

Thank you much! The plant actually produce two rose buds that were different colors, also different than the original blush pink - it seems as if the rose buds are getting brighter.

beautiful rose bush! i've just purchased two red minis for the conservatory- thanks for your video- very helpful! the only pernickety thing i find about roses in general is propagation- its a real hit and miss for me.. but the actual care is something i find fairly reasonable.. theyre quite resilient i think. i found two neglected old roses bushes under a tree in my new house and after uprooting and moving their locations, they seem to be doing great.

This is my third try at growing mini roses. I've had these ones for 5 months now which is the longest that I have been able to keep them. I moved them to a south facing window today near the window itself. I am hoping that they will recover and start to grow their leaves back as well as bloom. I have to remove one whole stem because it has turned brown. I am hoping that now since I have learned that my roses need full light that they will recover. Thanks for the information.

I’m glad you found the video helpful. Yess as much as you can give them. I had no idea about their need for full sun until mine started to decline. I am planning to plant a bush outside, once spring comes around to see what happens to them

Thanks. I've got 3x 5 star breed health Kordes Dwarf fairy red roses planted outside in a very wide not so deep pot. They are growing from bare roots 3+weeks ago. Looking great. But no fragrance. I really want a very miniature rose with strong fragrance.

Hey There, I would check their environment, so lighting and watering. They need lots of light, inside. I would water them only when the soil is dry. They are very susceptible to Thrips which looks like a white powder. I would cut off any unhealthy stems.
