Hi Rosina. I have tried to do this pattern and cannot get it right. I've watched it and frogged it at least 10 times. are you counting the chain row where you crochet into the back bumps as row one? you also said you were chaining 18 and the extra 3 making 21 then you said you have 22 stitches? Is the turning chain counted as the 1st stitch? Sorry to sound stupid, but I am brand new to crochet and I'm trying to follow you as you go along. I keep pausing the video, but I can't see why my little piece just isn't the same. I'm so frustrated I could cry!! :(

Yes, row 1 is 22 ch, dc (UK terms) in 2nd and all remaining chains, which gives you the 21 sts you need for your swatch xx

Nice! Thanks 😊 I would like to have seen what the back looks like, and also how much bulk stands out from looking at it across the flat surface. Does that make sense? I’m looking to make a hand towel so I don’t know if there’s a truly flat mosaic pattern out there. A good tutorial though. Much appreciated!

I’m sorry but you’re not doing a double crochet in English terms , I know you’re doing in your language, but when you start with color A I watched 2x’s those are half double crochet’s! You yarn over, go into single crochet , pull up a loop you now have 3 loops on hook , pull thru all 3 ! A double crochet is done almost same , after you have 3 loops then yarn over thru , 2 loops on hook , 2 loops left yarn over thru last two that’s a US dbl crochet

There are two versions of "English" terms - UK English (which is what I use), and US English, which is what you are describing.
