Revtor's NCS Expert Profile is the profile i used to code the module. profile can be downloaded by searching Google.
BMW coding cable can be purchased on eBay, and usually comes with all the necessary programs to install on your computer.

Man dude is a beast.... helped me out and it works great... I have 2005 BMW 645ci... only regret is not going Bluetooth!!! Save your money and buy from Roskinc..... Best DIY I've seen. Bought the aux cable from him. The hardware installation was a breeze thanks to your help. I did have to use one size higher when drilling the hole for the cable. The hard part was coding the car. If you have a 32 bit windows xp I'm sure it is easy but all I had to work with was 64 bit win 8. Getting the software to work was the hardest thing. Took me 2 days to finally have it up and running. But once I did it was a piece of cake. Unfortunately my cars' battery died due to the programming and as of right now I am unable to go and buy a aux cable to test it out. But super easy except for the coding, but once you have the software working it works, thanks for your help. Oh thanks to one of the comments down below. My cars code was in German and instead of "not_" it was "nicht_". My spelling might be off but yea. THANKS

Thanks, Great help. Just did this and followed ur instructions. The only difference was in in my .trc-file it didn’t say “auxconfig not_mounted”, but rather “auxin not_active”. I changed it to “active”, and saved it as per instructions. It worked fine. I now have installed an apple carplay unit to the aux in and it’s just perfect. Thanks a lot.

I just saw a post. It definately works on a 2004 E60, 530i. There is a bit of a process configuring the port but once done, the post/video is very accurate. Hope that helps. Peter

I really think you should have 3 videos. 1st. Explain that there are 3 tasks to complete. Your first video should have referenced the needed ODBII cable and how to get the needed software and it's requirements. I'm guessing you didn't do this because most customers would not step into the burdensome process. 2nd. Explain the hardware install. 3rd. Walk through programming.

thanks for the tips on the windows 7 setup, lots of people ask about it and i haven't been able to help since i use windows xp on that computer. like you said your MASK for non navigation was AUXIN, keep in mind not all MASK modules will say AUXIN but AUX_CONFIG, very rarely do i see AUXIN, but like rubenve79 said, simple change to AKTIV. thanks again glad the video helped.

Bought your cable, had a lot of trouble getting the code part of it working, had numerous errors with my ncsexpert software like profilversion 2.0 inguilt and had also problems with pressing F6 which then pop up an error screen basically saying u need to update sp.daten tried updating it didnt get it to work....but then after creating a win XP virtual machine on my windows 10 OS and adding in all the required frameworks ..... i got it to work thank god, i then followed these steps and i successfully coded in an AUX option into my BMW WOHOOOOO. if anyone needs help send us a message.

Yeah from the Control Panel. Go to Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> Device Manager (in the left pane). Make sure to hook up the cable to see the COM1 port (it's actually a virtual port).

if AUX shows up on idrive then yes you already have your car coded for AUX, all you need to do is plug in the cable

86netsniper Luckily for me I didn't get any errors. I would suggest reinstalling NCS expert from a different version or source. I used "NCS Expert profile" for adding the vehicle order and for enabling the aux function. Hello, hope you can help me with an issue I’m having, I did this steps on my E60 that does have Nav. Step by step and it did work perfect. The problem is that I tried doing the same on my other E60 that does not have Nav and only used to show FM AM CD After I finished doing that second car it appeared more options now shows FM AM W SAT AUX but aux does not work on car, can you help me find out what I did wrong?

So I just finished coding my AUX IN in my 2005 530i. Since I'm new to coding I had some startup trouble, but all the obstacles have been cleared. Here's a list of what I walked in to and how I solved it as it may be useful in the future for other beginning coders: 1. In ncs expert after pressing F3, selecting E60 and then CAS to read from the CAS I got the error "Faulty VIN". Solution: use other (main) key of the car instead. [to be continued]

No problem. I did use a different version of ncs expert too. I think in the video you're using v3.x correct? I used v4.x Mine already came with a profile that allowed me to write stuff to the car, so I didn't have to use Revtor's profile. His profile doesn't work with ncs v4.01.

3. My car doesn't have nav, so there is no CAPPL module. You have to use the MASK module instead to enable the aux in port (as said in the video). However there is no AUX_CONFIG. Solution: There should be an AUXIN attribute in your MASK module. Change that from nicht_aktiv to aktiv and use the same steps as in the video to actually write it to the car.

do you have a spare key? try using it with the spare key (win information is tied to keys, sometimes one will work and one doesnt). also only time ive seen the vin is faulty is when someone replaced their CCC for one with another car and the VIN wasnt coded with the new modules, it wasnt able to read it.

Turns out you were spot on there, just tried it with the other key and I get a little bit further. It shows the VIN now after selecting CAS, but then I get a different error, saying "FA-Fehler" and then below it it says "Datatransmission to ECU disturbed IFH-0010". Googling that as we speak.

Fantastic - Thanks for all your help and quick response to emails Here are a few notes: Windows 7 Version NCS_EXPERT 4.x Had to change com port to 1 had to make sure to set com port latency to 1 - got errors otherwise used EXPERT_MODE instead of REVTOR's NCS_EXPERT_PROFILE did not have NAV - used MASK - only one "OK" button to press - video has two for "CAPPL" had to remove "nicht" from "nicht_aktiv" did not hear the "CO" in "CODIERDATEN LESSON" I ended up pausing the video and counting rows
