Modernized Yak-130M combat trainer jet

Modernized Yak-130M aircraft designed on the basis of the combat training Yak-130 was presented at the ARMY-2024 International Military-Technical Forum. The key purpose of the modernization is to expand combat capabilities of the aircraft in order to increase its competitiveness on the foreign market.
Key distinctive features of the newest Yak-130M comprise onboard radar, extended armament payload, SOLT-130K optical-laser-TV-thermal system in a pod, President-S130 on-board defense suite as well as KSS-130 on-board communications unit and avionics suite.

2.5 ton is too low payload for a fighter jet when HALE drone is carrying 1.25 ton payload Excellent for training and low intensity conflict with weak adversary But still good sex appeal❤❤

It can be very good in a close combat battlefield support, just remove the second pilot and add some armour against small arms like in Su-25. By the way, Su-25 doesn't have a radar and anti-air missiles, Yak-130M can be used against helicopters/drones too, not only ground targets.

War has cause serious effect while it was a perfect platform to replace Su 25 (more suitable rather than USAF plan to replace A 10 with overpriced undercapacity F 35A) but it lack of advanced targeting and cockpit technology. Colaborate with China for avionics and electrooptics may secure the effectiveness of Yak 130M.
