Help us plant along trails to increase habitat and diversity in saltmarsh areas. This native plant corridor helps the threatened GG Bell Frog move safely across the island to the various ponds and bodies of water. Our teams will be continuing on from last years efforts to plant and maintain native sedges to extend the Green and Golden Bell Frog Corridor along Bell Frog Way, Ash Island within Hunter Wetlands National Park. ● Blue Gum Hills Regional Park Conservation Volunteers Australia Activities may include: tree planting, maintenance, watering, mulching - light weed control. ● Social Companion - Pet Visitor (Birds) - Ballina CPL Volunteers contribute to our mission of an inclusive society for all people; extending social connections with clients, reducing social isolation; and enhancing CPL services by sharing skills, time and mutual interests. Lifting pets on and off of beds and other surfaces to allow interaction between the clients and your pet. You will not be responsible for: Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers. About your furry/feathered friend Pets will be of a gentle nature to enjoy cuddles on a bed or other like surface with clients Pets must be wormed This volunteer opportunity will take place in Ballina on any day of the week TBC. The volunteer and CPL will regularly review this volunteer role based on the capacity of the volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis and the needs of CPL. You will be responsible for organising your transport to and from the location of this CPL role. Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose!

Roles include: Caring for sick and injured Koalas at our Care Centre in East Lismore, Collection leaf for the Koalas currently in care, Rescuing sick and injured Koalas and, Maintaining our native plant nursery ● Animal Carer for Pets for Life Shelter. Byron Community Centre. The Byron Bay Community Association is a not for profit organisation that operates the Byron Community Centre. The 246 seat state-of-the-art Byron Theatre is housed in the Centre and boasts an impressive range of Cultural and Community activities, shows and performances. The Centre manages a number of Community and Artisan Markets throughout the year in Byron Bay supporting local small business and charities. Over the last 31 years the Centre has played a key role in establishing many local community services. Currently, the Community Centre houses a range of vital services; including Emergency Relief, Homeless and Community breakfasts, Liberation Larder, Financial Counselling, Money Matters Workshops, Tax Help and a No Interest Loans Scheme. ● Dog Companion Assistant UCA.
