Probably too hard to keep him in the story with visitations and stuff. The ex-wife was gone by the last 3 seasons as well.

Nah, this one sounds like an honest mistake to me. She legit forgot that Ross has a kiwi allergy. She starts listing the things she knows he's allergic to and after mentioning the first two, you can see her face drop because she realizes he's right and she just remembers he's allergic to kiwi. Before that, she had forgotten and didn't believe him, not to prove her own right, but simply because it slipped her mind.

Most people would never be confident enough to trust their own memory being accurate, when present time events are proving the opposite, not even for a second. But don’t get me wrong, I love Monica.
