There is nothing sad about it. Nobody forced them to become a soldiers. They got what they wanted to. They are not victims. They are insensitive devils, ready to go to any part of the planet on orders to kill locals there. It is very significant that you did not even mention those unfortunate ones who were killed by them. It only bothers you that they are being killed in return. No doubt you will pay for it and it will be well deserved.

People have misguided beliefs and die for them all the time. You may go to Afghanistan wanting to actually help, but the locals don't give a fuck about you, and the Taliban's only goal is to get America and their allies out. "He died for his family.." His family are heartbroken over his death. How exactly was going to Afghanistan, and unfortunately dying, helping his family? It's the same logic espoused in my family at a reunion when I hear "He was protecting your freedom!" when talking about my cousin, a former Marine who served in Iraq, and he luckily didn't die. How exactly was he protecting my freedom?

people are losing their lives on both sides, i feel worse for the people in Afghanistan they have been coping it for way to long and they have lost way more lives, it was all pointless so i have no remorse for the people fighting against Afghanistan because they were asking for it but on the other hand i feel really sorry for the families for all of the victims of this dreadful unnecessary war they don't deserve that kind of heartbreak.
