I have traveled to Almaty and I know that the movie is just a bad stereotype and the actual place is COMPLETELY different and has lots of charms! There are hundreds of mainstream Uzbek girls studying in South Korea as a student and they were better to represent Uzbekistan. I’m glad to see a girl from Kazakhstan, but it’s a pity that the association is with the racist film Borat. I hope in the future there will be more videos with her and a normal representation of the country. And yes, the girl looks like a mix because the Kazakhs (like the rest of Central Asians) are a transitional race (Turanids). When the police, or government structure records videos of convicted people when they apologize for doing smth. And that is just some light stuff like throwing away trash in the wrong place. We have that type of culture where people tend to think that if a person apologises then the problem is gone. So there are examples when people gotta be charged for doing smth wrong but instead that they just apologize and then people are free to go. I even know from the recent news that police structures trying to stop doing that. Recording people and make em apologize cuz that type of solution for the problems is getting too deep in our culture. And just say it basically (уят)
