It rains a lot in Britain and Ireland because we are islands and our predominant winds come from the south west, straight off the huge Atlantic. This means that any weather systems forming over the Atlantic get the chance to pick up a ton of water and then dump it on us as rain - especially in the north and west.
@clockworkpotato98922 жыл бұрын
Yeah, basically any direction other than south and south-east is either Atlantic ocean, North Sea, or artic sea

3.46 , The reason behind UK weather is the prevailing onshore Westerlies that bring rains throughout the year. Other reason is the weather which is cold temperate (latitude 55degree ) so the moisture carrying capacity of the air is less as its always cold so the moment it gets heated, it rises and showers in small installments. So it maybe raining in one part and completely dry in the other. Hope you get some clarity. Love from INDIA 🇮🇳

Syndicated drama is normally designated to soap operas, and those infamously short series get their attention for being flawlessly coherent bodies of work. For example, we don't do the tedious long sitcom format. A great few episodes, followed by an eagerly anticipated second season and possibly a bonus extended special finale is perfect. Also, sometimes a show's creator has as much value as the product. Before becoming the dick he is today, there was a lot of promotional value to the words "Graham Linehan's new sitcom". Father Ted (19), Black Books (18) and The IT Crowd (25) don't have that many episodes, but they were each like a big director's new film, or big author's new book, and are held in very high regard.

I’m curious - when people in the US can sue someone for anything, does everyone afford it? is suing affordable? in Japan I think hiring a lawyer itself would cost at least 3k to 10k USD to just start getting consultations. I don’t know further fees as I’ve never checked *edited: sorry I miscalculated the JPY/USD conversion
@Sound_Spark2 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you are suing for. I mean you have people who are literally fucking morons suing people cause of something that anyone with a brain would know, i.e women sues McD's cause the coffee was hot and she spilled it on herself. So now there is a warning on coffee cups that say "Caution Hot".
@cameronword2 жыл бұрын
Legal fees are also quite expensive in the US, but my understanding is that often the loser has to pay for the winner's lawyer fees as part of the settlement. (Maybe not in all cases, but many times) Because it can cost so much money, sometimes just the threat of a lawsuit can scare people into coming to an agreement outside of court. Honestly, my personal opinion is that that aspect of the legal system is quite broken and needs to be fixed... :(
@sergel022 жыл бұрын
Generally the cost to sue someone, with the fees involved, starts at around $10,000 and goes up as things become more complex. There’s a lot of different factors and it depends on the reason and such. Settlement outside of court is generally more popular, as you can’t guarantee a win. There’s fees for both sides, though the losing side sometimes pays the winning. I heard this is more common if the one who is using is for a frivolous reason. I suppose the thinking is they wasted the time, energy, and money on courts for something silly, and didn’t have a good case anyway and lost.

I mean, according to many other sources US is not the most litigious country in the world but the 5th. So I don't know where he got that idea. Certain sources also site UK with a higher percentage of alcohol disorder rate or alcohol abuse. It may be a more culture thing though. UK has had its own national sort of pride involving pub crawling and public drinking so it would make sense why the US might have a more stigmatized perceptive on drinking or binge drinking/partying. The episode one I don't really understand. Pretty sure there are many failed UK shows. But certain shows are also cancelled for a plethora of other reasons rather than just poor reviews or ratings. Company problems, Rights being purchased, Tragedy or Drama involving behind the scenes of it etc. But its weird too because I'm thinking of British series that are so fucking long like Midsommar Murders, Pointless (other game shows), Blue peter etc. I also don't understand the childhood stars thing. Neville Longbottom became more attractive but what has he done? LOL I mean Scarlet Johansson, Neil Patrick Harris, and Mandy Moore They seemed to be fine. Miley Cyrus is questionable but this is a little hard to quantize.
